Megatron/Galvatron

[edit]

Regarding Megatron's marker... Were any of the Decepticons besides Cyclonus and Scourge even aware that Galvatron and Megatron were one and the same? - Dark T Zeratul 02:24, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Some damn episode had like, Astrotrain mutter "well, they're the same guy" or something, so yeah, I think it's common knowledge to 'em. --M Sipher 02:28, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

The episode you speak of is "Five Faces of Darkness part 1"...just to clarify. Cyclonus seems to regard Galvatron as a seperate person from Megatron, though, as in that conversation Cyclonus says something like "You mean GALVATRON would blah blah" to which Astrotrain replies "Well they'r ethe same fucking guy!" --DrSpengler 03:02, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Starscream's tootsies

[edit]

Regarding Starscream's marker being a pair of legs, I think it was intentional, at least by the animators. When Octane reaches over to touch the marker he moves one of the legs like it was seperate and not connected to a torso (and no torso is ever seen and there are multiple shots of the two legs). --DrSpengler 03:04, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Didn't the original script for TF:TM have Starscream leaving behind his "boots" when Galvy destroys him? I've thought that maybe that was somehow connected to the way his marker is drawn. --KilMichaelMcC 03:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
I've always regarded the legs as intentional since, 1) Starscream never seemed well liked, so it made sense that they'd have no problems making fun of his smoking leftovers. 2) The boots seemed pretty well drawn for something that wasn't meant to be fully seen. From the errors in the Rhino DVD sets, when something wasn't meant to be seen, the animators usually didn't bother to draw the parts that would be hidden or at least not draw them well.--MCRG 00:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

It's not Bloodron that Octane has his ominous reaction to- it looks like Bloodron is one-to-the-left of the ominious one.
This is the scary one. http://www.emopanda.com/tmp/deathcomes.jpg

Also, I move this article be moved to 'Decepticon Tomb' because it's not called a crypt anywhere, but one of the sweeps does comment it's as silent as a tomb. It's still not a proper name- but it's CLOSER. -Derik 01:57, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Could the Decepticons have built the marker for Megatron during the 4 million years he was "missing"? But then the presence of marks for Thundercracker and Starscream might indicate either a recent construction, or all the 1984 Decepticons were considered dead by Shockwave after they and the Autobots went missing 4 million years ago. ~Ithekro

Murdron and the rest

[edit]

What's the source of knowing the identities of the unknown dudes such as Murdron and Bloodron. Not that I don't believe it, but I ask out of pure interest. Excise 14:36, 13 May 2009 (EDT)

If you go over to the Hall of Heroes article, the names were all taken from concept art posted over at Floro Dery's webpage. However, the page was taken down when AOL Hometown removed all its sites. So hopefully someone out there saved them for posterity. --DrSpengler 14:44, 13 May 2009 (EDT)
