Talk:Dracula
I really don't like what's been done to this article. In the Transformers multiverse "Dracula is both a fearsome transforming robot and a famous novel of the same name" is not actually true at all. It is only a novel. I don't understand why characters from a toyline that never happened are being given in-universe write-ups, when they don't exist in-universe. --KilMichaelMcC 23:19, 2 March 2010 (EST)
- Then do you want to separate them? "Dracula (character)" and "Dracula (novel)"? We've made articles for plenty of characters who never made it past the concept art stage, and written in-universe at that. I don't see why these characters should be excluded just because they're silly. --DrSpengler 23:27, 2 March 2010 (EST)
- It's not just because they're silly, it's because the article as it stands make it sounds like there's a robot Dracula running around somewhere in the TF universe, when there is actually no such thing. No, we don't need a separate article, the stuff about the never-produced toy from the line that never existed should just be treated like the trivia that it is. --KilMichaelMcC 23:33, 2 March 2010 (EST)
- I don't see why Albitron can have a page but Dracula can't, neither one exists as a TF. But, I do think that having the novel and the character concept on one page is kind of clunky. Khajidha 10:42, 3 March 2010 (EST)
- I didn't say anything about the characters not having pages. I just don't think the pages should be written in-universe for characters who don't exist in-universe. --KilMichaelMcC 10:55, 3 March 2010 (EST)
- There's also no reason to think this character would have actually been named Dracula. That just seems unlikely to me. Chip 18:07, 15 April 2010 (EDT)
- The fact that the character was supposed to be part of a "Vintage Horror Movie Series" would suggest there is a reason to think it would've been named Dracula. Are there any other vampire movies notable enough to be in such a series? --Tigerpaw28 00:13, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
- Nosferatu could be, but this guy is definitely more of a Dracula than a Nosferatu. --HotAndCold 00:44, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
- But would they have really sprung for licenses? I realize Dracula is in the public domain, but the Creature from the Black Lagoon isn't. I think it's more likely they would have had robotty names. Chip 11:07, 17 April 2010 (EDT)

- WTF? Guys, it SAYS Dracula right there in the caption beneath the pic in Generations! There is no "maybe" about it! --DrSpengler 11:11, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
I would like to re-iterate my above objection to this article being written as if this canceled robo-Dracula is actually a character who exists in-universe. --KilMichaelMcC 12:49, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
Personally, I just wish the image caption was "Suck your ass on away from here is what you better do! Hope you get sickle cell!" -hx 14:41, 15 April 2010 (EDT)
Category:Konami and Hudson Soft properties
[edit]It might be nitpicky, but should Dracula be in Category:Konami and Hudson Soft properties? I know he is there for the DreamMix game, but nobody owns Dracula, really. Public domain and all that. - Gimmick (talk) 13:59, 8 February 2015 (EST)
