Should Glyph and Strika be added to the cast list or are they basically a trivia note?

They do not belong in the cast list, no. --KilMichaelMcC 12:20, 24 August 2010 (EDT)
Has the wiki changed its policy since this? Retconned-in characters are being added to episode articles elsewhere, e.g. Hotlink and Bitstream. --flicky1991 16:13, 7 August 2013 (EDT)

recycling transformers

[edit]

Under Continuity Errors: "How does one recycle a robot by dumping it into a molten vat?"

"How is Scrap Metal Actually Recycled Into New Products?

After the scrap metal is sorted, it's entered into a blast furnace that burns at extremely high temperatures. The exact temperature of the furnace varies depending on the metal that is being recycled. The blast furnace melts the scrap metal into its molten (liquid) state and also helps to burn off any impurities or other materials left over from the sorting stage of the process. After the metal is liquefied, it can then be poured into molds for use in new products.

So that's pretty much how metal gets recycled. True, non-metal bits (electronics, gaskets, anything else a Transformer might contain) have to be removed before the process can begin, but presumably the Quintessons would have come up with a slightly better/different process than we use. It doesn't seem like much of a stretch. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.141.241.116 (talkcontribs){{#if:02:55, 24 April 2011 (EDT)| 02:55, 24 April 2011 (EDT)|}}.

Did you even watch the sequence in question? A single robot is shot dead, dumped in a vat of molten metal and out of the vat comes a brand new robot. --Detour 03:04, 24 April 2011 (EDT)
Nanobots in the vat activate upon the robots entry and reconstruct the component parts and smelted metal into a new and different robot form. Makes perfect sense. Seriously. It's alien super science all you need is a teeny bit of imagination.--76.28.76.206 15:32, 24 April 2011 (EDT)
Alternatively, a wizard did it! Between regular magic and alien super science made up by the audience to explain weirdness that the writers either didn't realize/care about or the animators didn't animate right, I pick regular magic. Geewunling 15:45, 24 April 2011 (EDT)
Except the show is all about alien superscience. Litterally! Thats what TFs are and every ep is soked in it to the point of forming wonky super science rock candy. Magic is at best an infrequent guest star.--76.28.76.206 15:48, 24 April 2011 (EDT)

Marissa's accent

[edit]

Marissa loses her Mid-Atlantic accent for one line

...is THAT what it's supposed to be? The hell?? I always thought she sounded vaguely psuedo-Russian or something, a strange choice for the daughter of a JOE! -- Repowers (talk) 21:49, 21 September 2015 (EDT)

I always assumed it was a terrible attempt at a British accent myself. --flicky1991 01:39, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
It's a Katherine Hepburn impression, is what it is. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 07:08, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
I'd never thought of that, but you're probably right! And Katherine Hepburn spoke with a Mid-Atlantic accent - which, as Flicky sums up, is basically a made-up dodgy, Americanny-sort-of-not-really-British accent that generally conveys a "cultured" air. Prime Starscream has a Mid-Atlantic accent. - Chris McFeely (talk) 07:54, 22 September 2015 (EDT)
