Talk:Great Pyramid of Giza

A note about writing - the ROTF movie section begins rather abruptly, in essentially in the middle of the scene in Giza. We should consider what the previous section (the IDW comics section) said and follow on from that, rather than writing *strictly* as events were depicted on screen. --FFN 20:53, 10 November 2009 (EST)

This pyramid is not the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is the pyramid of Khafre, which sits on the Giza plateau slightly elevated and thus appears to be taller than the Great Pyramid nearby. This is a common misunderstanding, and while it is a pyramid and also pretty great, it is not Khufu's pyramid and thus not the Great Pyramid at all.

Hmm, it's not identified as the Great Pyramid in the film, but it is in some associated media (the Glu mobile game, for instance - I don't have the novelisation). I guess if we move it, we can note that some places it's referred to as the Great Pyramid, even though that's inaccurate. --abates 21:02, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
