Talk:Jason Jansen
A humble idea
[edit]Worth trying? -Derik 00:25, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
- I'd say yes, except I'm not so sure about claiming we're trying to clear DVD rights. Perhaps we could be looking for an interview instead? --Tigerpaw28 01:57, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
- Well yes, the phrasing needs to be tweaked. (We, for one thing, are arbiters of nothing DVD related.) And probably the layout.
- Everyone talks about the power of social networks. I want to see if a couple hundred people 'share'ing something like this can track the guy down. -Derik 03:03, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
Re: the new trivia bit
[edit]So who has a region-free DVD player and way too much money? http://www.videoezy.com.au/TV/2c93e99e-06b8-458c-bf68-1d9416bcceed.aspx
Errr...
[edit]Don't know if it helps, or if it's just one of those crazy contrived coincidences, but there's a Jason Jensen that works on Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics as a colorist. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by LioRC (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
- He's been noticed, back when folks thought "Janson" was his last name. Not the same dude. --ItsWalky 13:47, 20 March 2012 (EDT)
Um, what?
[edit]I don't know if this is legit, but maybe... -- spyderUse this! 21:48, 26 December 2012 (EST)
- Any alternative links for those of us without Facebook? -Ookalf 21:59, 26 December 2012 (EST)
- Walky said on The AllSpark that Jason Jansen has actually contacted Bluestreak07 and is going to do an interview, so it's no longer necessary to hunt for him. :) --abates 00:57, 27 December 2012 (EST)
Interview
[edit]http://digestmybrain.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/tommy-kennedy-found-an-interview-with-jason-jansen/
There's my interview I did with Jason Jansen aka Jason Jankowski. I really don't have much time to cull out what's pertinent to the wiki right now so hopefully someone else can finish that. Bluestreak7 14:11, 4 January 2013 (EST)
THINGS OF NOTE FROM THE INTERVIEW
- "Jason Jansen" is a stage name, he's actually Jason Jankowski.
- The bits were shot at Silver Cup Studios in Queens, NY.
- It took no more than a week to shoot.
- There were two Optimus sets - a hand and a shoulder. The head took two puppeteers, one of whom may have worked on Sesame Street.
- He's basically just some dude from Middletown, NY, who did a TV shoot as a kid and ended up being quasi-stalked by obsessive robonerds twenty years later.
- No idea how old he is.
That's the pertinent info, IMO. -hx 14:42, 4 January 2013 (EST)
- The Sesame Street guy was Marty Robinson. --abates 16:09, 4 January 2013 (EST)
