Talk:Jet judo
Hey, couldn't Optimus grabbing onto Megatron mid-flight in the movie be considered Jet Judo as well?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.62.83.219 (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
I think it could, but Optimus doesn't acctually pull him out of the air, and before you say he pulled him into a building, I think Megs acctually flew thru the building to get Optimus off.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 141.158.91.149 (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
- It seems to me that there is as big a difference between performing Jet Judo and merely diving onto a moving object as there is between performing actual Judo and simply pushing someone over.Thirtysilver 07:37, 19 August 2009 (EDT)
Then why is it that Starscream in the movie counts as Jet Judo? He didn't grab (or for that matter throw) any of the jets. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe didn't succeed in taking down any of the Seekers either, they only said they used "jet judo". It seems that Jet Judo is mid-flight fighting then, if Starscream counts. And to be honest, Movie Optimus should be as well for jumping on a flyer like S&S and Bulkhead.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.27.222.17 (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
I think there are some examples in Transformers Cybertron. Such as Starscream grabbing a transformed Jetfire in "Retreat" and throwing him down before shooting him. Also, does Optimus grabbing onto Thundercracker and punching his tail section count? ZeldaTheSwordsman 20:29, 8 November 2009 (EST)
- I for one think there are no examples of jet judo anywhere, because it was just a joke. --KilMichaelMcC 20:46, 8 November 2009 (EST)
Adding more information.

This article now seems all kinds of wrong to me. How many of the supposed instances of "jet judo" listed on this page are identified as such? (Not that I think even the original instance actually counts, because it was just a joke, but whatever.) --KilMichaelMcC 22:03, 10 March 2011 (EST)
- As far as I know only the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker instance was called out as "jet judo" and should be on this page (if we are to keep this page at all). --Khajidha 10:13, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- The Shattered Glass one is called out: "And, distracted as he was, he walked right into Blitzwing’s fist. The impact was followed by a Jet-Judo throw that sent Wheeljack sprawling into the dirt beyond the spanner's ring." --67.252.49.31 10:17, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- Well, that one and the original usage from the G1 cartoon can stay. But surely Movie Starscream, Animated Bulkhead, and Prime Bumblebee are not "known praticitioners" of a martial art because they fought jets at one point. --KilMichaelMcC 15:16, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- Agreed. --Khajidha 15:19, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- Yes. —Interrobang 15:54, 11 March 2011 (EST)
- Can we get one of those invisible notes that says "Hey, stupid, if it doesn't actually use the words 'jet judo', DON'T put it here!"? Or words to that effect. --Khajidha 16:07, 11 March 2011 (EST)
