Talk:KB Toys

Added a (hopefully complete) list of toys that were "exclusively" available at KB Toys. Of note is that a lot of these "exclusives" later turned up at other stores as well, and KB also received several toys previously exclusive to other stores.--Nevermore 09:45, 9 June 2009 (EDT)

May I suggest marking the 'also/later available' toys with {{dag|red}}?{{#if:red||}}†{{#if:red||}}

Pet peeve...

[edit]

It may be a personal pet peeve of mine, but the pedant in me really gets annoyed when people persist on spelling the name "Kay-Bee" in articles on this Wiki, when the company abandoned that name before most of us were even able to read.--Nevermore 17:33, 28 October 2010 (EDT)

Some stores didn't update their signs. Mine didn't till it was closed in 2000. —Interrobang 22:53, 28 October 2010 (EDT)
Same here. --ItsWalky 23:33, 28 October 2010 (EDT)
Weird. I see your point there, though my point is mostly we have this article and store names should be wiki-linked in other articles. Should we create a redirect at "Kay-Bee"?--Nevermore 07:02, 29 October 2010 (EDT)

Exclusion of 2007 movie toyline?

[edit]

Back in 2007 around July I was curious why they hadn't started carrying the movie figures and found out from the store manager that they would only be carrying Fast Action Battlers because, to quote, "No one really cares about Transformers anymore." Did anyone else experience this? I know of three store locations in South Eastern Virginia where it was like that but am curious if this was a regional thing, a decision based on the relatively small size of the locationes (even for KB at the time), or if this was actually a corporate decision. I don't think individual stores would have the authority to simply ignore a potentially lucrative toyline just because one manager thought it wasn't worthwhile. --King Starscream (talk) 14:07, 28 August 2019 (EDT)
