"かつやく" is "活躍", which means activity or playing an active part; while service is 貢献 (contribution), 尽力 (do one's best), 奉仕. --TX55TALK 07:28, 26 September 2011 (EDT)

I found "[character]'s Activity to be an off-translation, because it doesn't capture what the stories are about. I used "Efforts" in my translation notes, but when it came to making pages, I went with "Service". This translation option was suggested by tangorin.com, which I won't say is correct all the time, but seemed to fit the overall tone the word seemed to mean and certainly fit the context of what happens in each manga. Is "Service" really that far off/blatantly incorrect? Geewunling 08:49, 26 September 2011 (EDT)
The dictionary I use also gives "conspicuous service". I agree with Geewunling that "Service" best captures what the stories are about. —Interrobang 09:26, 26 September 2011 (EDT)
