Talk:List of computers
(G.B. Blackrock: 2006/03/10 - 4:11 pm PST) Shouldn't "Teletraan" be spelled "Teletran"? (not just assuming that the title of the Wiki gets it right) User:G.B. Blackrock
The spelling used in the Transformers Writers Bible has two "A"s http://transformers.winterchill.com/bible/biblepage3.html -Bobby
The original scripts and the series bible refer to it as 'Teletraan'.
(G.B. Blackrock: 2006/03/10 - 4:32 pm PST) In the absence of other sources (like, did the name ever appear on-screen?), I'm happy to go with this. However, it should be noted that few series "bibles" are considered canon very far into a series. They just tell writers how to get started, most of the time. User:G.B. Blackrock
Innocent!
[edit]Seriously, why do we need this? It's against the style manual, it doesn't link to even half of the computers that have articles, and it's redundant when considering Category:Computers.--Rosicrucian 16:45, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's not redundant if you want to see computers listed by continuity. --ItsWalky 16:48, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Which would be all well and good if it did that instead of listed them by faction.--Rosicrucian 16:50, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well, that helps too! Let's rewrite the page so it's more informative in its categorization. --ItsWalky 16:51, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, there's my first shot at it.--Rosicrucian 17:05, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- And now after a couple revisions on top of that, it at least has all the ones the category listed, which it didn't before.--Rosicrucian 17:19, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Concerning computers without articles.
[edit]If a computer isn't noteworthy enough to have its own article, it can still be listed on this page I'd say. However as this is only a list I'd prefer if all computers listed here linked to some article. The computer's owner or a comic issue/animated episode summary would do. That way we at least avoid simple namedropping like the older version of this article.--Rosicrucian 19:22, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Oracle
[edit]Is the Oracle really a Maximal computer? It predates the Maximals by, say, 9 million years. --ItsWalky 19:49, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- The maximal-era Oracle is a legend, which happens to be a shell program around Vector Sigma.
- However- in Wreckers wwe learned the BM Oracle was axctually a construct created by the Quints based on that legend.
- So the legend may predate the Beast Era (I mean, the Oracle Take in TWW if nothing else) but 'the oracle' we saw in BM could probably be said to be unique to the BM era, because it is != to the G1 Oracle, ti was merely claiming to be it. -Derik 20:33, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Wreckers told us that the Oracle was created by the Quints based on the actual Oracle legend? That sounds... really not true. In fact, I remember it specifically stating that they built the Oracle around Vector Sigma before Transformers were ever even manufactured by them. It's a huge part of Tengu's Primus/Quint reconciliation. --ItsWalky 21:01, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
I mainly tagged it as Maximal because it was at least nominally allied with the Maximals in Beast Machines. It was more or less an effort to preserve the original faction-based listing of computers within the context of the new continuity-based listing.
That said, I've no qualms with removing its faction tag if you feel it's inappropriate.--Rosicrucian 00:22, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't think it's a faction-specific computer. It was even hard-coded into Megatron for a while. I'll remove the logo. --ItsWalky 00:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
