Does anyone know if any franchises before BW had any McD's promotion? (Like G1 stuff or something?) I'll work with what I can to add more stuff of later franchises for this page, but anything before BW is before my time. --Ascendron 20:52, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- See List of Transformers restaurant promotions, the first item is a small scale test release of TF merchandise at McDonald's. Khajidha 21:03, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- On two different occasions in the 80's, McDonalds had HappyMeal toys that transformed from McDonalds foods into robots. However these were not officially connected to the Transformers brand Riddlerj 21:06, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- Hehe, I kinda wish I had known about that list a bit earlier, it would have saved me a bit of time. I appreciate the help, thanks. :) --Ascendron 21:39, 12 November 2009 (EST)
Move non-fiction bits
[edit]Pretty much everything on this page is on List of Transformers restaurant promotions. We already link there on this page, so shouldn't we just have the fiction sections here? --flicky1991 14:44, 2 June 2017 (EDT)
- I know this is a response to an almost one-decade-old post, but for the record (and in accordance to how I hope to edit these pages in the future if I have the chance to get to them all), I think the relationship between the McDonald's page (as well as that of other restaurants like Burger King) and the larger "Transformers restaurant promotion" page should function much in the same way as the one between the Generation 1 toylines in Latin America page and all the companies that are mentioned on it: so, the Latin America page has a fully comprehensive list for all the toys released in that region with a short blurb about each company, meanwhile; each manufacturer's page has a list with the figures they specifically made plus a longer description of their individual toylines. This might seem redundant (and it is to an extent), but imho, I do think it's a convenient redundancy - especially because the restaurant promotion page is organized by toylines rather than brands, and thus; if someone only wants to see the promotions for one specific restaurant, having the specific items from that restaurant listed on their own page does come in pretty handy.
