Woolies in the US?

[edit]

The story mentions that the alley is behind Woolworth's - did they have branches in the US in 1985 or is this the author using a Britishism? Timrollpickering 00:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Woolworth's was still around in the US into the early 1990s, so this is legit. -- Repowers 00:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
According to the Wikipedia article, there were Woolworth's in the U.S. until 1997, at which point the company completed its shift over to sporting goods stores (specifically, Foot Locker).--Apcog 00:25, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Cut note

[edit]
  • Tracks is transported back to Oregon "on the back of Hoist" instead of being towed by him. Either Hoist has suddenly grown in size or the author meant Tracks was towed by Hoist.

I have removed the above note as "on the back of a tow truck" is actually used to mean being towed. It may not be a common formulation, but it is definitely not an error. --Khajidha 14:08, 9 November 2011 (EST)
