Talk:One Shall Fall

I was watching this episode, and I noticed Ratchet uses Energon to heal Raf from Bumblebee, who possibly needs it himself considering he was shot by Megatron (and, of course, he might be infected with Dark Energon himself), instead of using some from another, healthier Autobot, such as Arcee or Bulkhead. I was wondering whether this is worth noting in the article, and if so, where it should go. GluttonyReaper 19:11, 27 August 2011 (EDT)

Just curious, but is it worth mentioning the similarities between the scene where Knockout's checking out his fingernails in the background, to a similar scene involving Airazor from the Beast Wars episode, Spider's Game, as seen here? [1] I'm not saying it's an homage (I know a lot of people abuse that phrase around here), but it is a pretty interesting coincidence given their similarities... - Boy Blunderous 12:48, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

I agree, it's probably not an intended homage, but the two scenes are quite similar... GluttonyReaper 16:51, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

Are we sure we want to assume it's Unicron?

[edit]

I thought this wiki was against "assumptions" or "implications", and instead waited for a direct confirmation (which we don't have yet on this subject). I feel we shouldn't be directly connecting to Unicron (yet) until we've seen something truly more concrete, not everything always as it seems. Karhukjnsi 06:08, 31 August 2011 (EDT)

Dark Energon is refered to as The Blood Of Unicron, so it's probably safe to make the connection there. However, there is a link in the article that points out that the face in Megatron's vision is Unicron. This is much less certain, and probably shouldn't be there. We've seen what the Fallen looks like, and the face ain't his. I'm not sure whose else it could be. ...especially with it being an orange and gray guy with a beard, spikes and horns. --ItsWalky 14:27, 31 August 2011 (EDT)
We've seen what concept art for the Fallen looks like in the Aligned universe, but not for what franchise. While I realize following Occam's Razor is generally safe, I thought this wiki was against that and needed something concrete instead of "probably". Karhukjnsi 05:32, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
I think if it looks like a goose and it honks like a goose, it's fairly safe to say it's a goose pending evidence to the contrary. --abates 05:38, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
As it turns out, it is indeed a goose. - ¡Usa El Queso! Complain here 21:35, 4 October 2011 (EDT)

Whaddaya think: ref or coincidence?

[edit]

Is Megatron's partial redeco at the end of this ep at all influenced by his similarly hued new body in the IDW books? (black w/ purple glowing energon stripes) The timing makes it seem possible, though I question whether the animators are paying any attention to some comic book. -- Repowers 23:27, 3 October 2011 (EDT)

Is he actually black now? I thought he was just the same as before, but with the same Unicron-themed purple deco he got at the beginning of the season when he started injesting the also-purple Dark Energon. --ItsWalky 21:40, 4 October 2011 (EDT)
He's not black, but he's not the same as he was in "Darkness Rising," either. When he first got Dark Energon, only his insignia glowed purple, while his eyes simply changed color (to purple). When to volcano erupted, his eyes glowed a bright purple (more intensely than the previous color change; they no longer had the circle-pupils) and purple lines shot all over his body. Seems rather like a burning justice to me. - ¡Usa El Queso! Complain here 13:13, 12 October 2011 (EDT)
