Talk:Optimash Prime

Does this really deserve its own page? Apart from the dodgy puns its still just another Optimus Prime toy so shouldn't it be merged into the Optimus Prime (G1)/toys page (where it is already mentioned)? As far as I know Optimash has no fiction appearances so what makes him more worthy of a page than say Softimus Prime? - Omnisvalidus 11:54, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- I vote keeping him on his own page- he has his own name and these weird Autotots jokes. It is possible that somewhere out in the multiverse, Transformer life evolved utilizing the naturally-occurring electrical properties of the potato.
- I also think the article should have a {{see|Optimus Prime (G1)}} at the end. -Derik 13:12, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Derik. Optimash Prime has his own backstory which is distinct from that of any known Optimus Prime, if only because of the punnishly slightly different names. And he's only arguably an Optimus Prime toy. Actually, the package depicts him and a normal Mr. Potato Head as being the same entity, so unless we're planning to add "Also, he is Mr. Potato Head. Seriously!" to the top of Prime's page...
- His toy truck, on the other hand, is undeniably an Optimus Prime toy. --Andrusi 18:00, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Three spud articles
[edit]Optimash Prime, Bumble Spud, and Taterbot have weak linkages, and I suspect that there will be another such toy around the time of Transformers 3. Should these toys have stronger linkages, or possibly all be merged? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.254.80.115 (talk • contribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.
