Can we have the image of the cover to this issue renamed to conform to our naming standards for comic issues? These were set a rather long time ago, so it's understandable that not everyone may be aware. In the case of this issue, it should be MarvelUS-42.jpg.--G.B. Blackrock 00:30, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- Do it yourself! Re-upload the new file with the corrected name, replace it ont he page, and mark the old one for deletion. -Derik 01:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Optimus 2?
[edit]Here's something I never understood. Optimus Prime was technically killed while a copy of his mind was saved on a disc. Given that this copy is what's used on the new body brought to life, wouldn't that stand to reason, that this is not the real Optimus Prime. It's more like Optimus Prime 2? - But he remembers everything from Optimus Prime's life (until the point of being copied). From his point of view, he IS Optimus Prime. --Khajidha 14:40, 8 October 2010 (EDT)
- There's a really good bit in Eugenesis about this --Emvee 14:57, 8 October 2010 (EDT)
- In Marvel comics, a Transformer's personality was in their programming. They could build everything else themselves, a body, a brain module, but the sentient programming had to come from the Creation Matrix. So Optimus Prime's programming is Optimus Prime. There was never given a reason why they couldn't replicate Optimus Prime's programming to make an army of Optimus Primes. Maybe that was just taboo. Maybe, if they tried, all of the different replications of Optimus Prime's programming would recognize each other as one hive mind, like a Multi-component Transformer and if there were too many components, it would become impractical and the subject would eventually risk going insane. - Starfield 15:13, 8 October 2010 (EDT)
