Talk:Polities of Cybertron

I may be misremembering, but I seem to recall that not every city-state is an orbital torus state. The polar states were something different, I think. It's possible the polar states are stationary, while the torus states move in some fashion.--RosicrucianTalk 12:19, 9 January 2010 (EST)

The following have all been designated OTS: Praxus (Age of Wrath 2), Protihex (The War Within 3, The Dark Ages 6), Kaon (The War Within Preview), Iacon (Ultimate Guide), Altihex (The War Within 1), Kalis (The Dark Ages 1) Uraya (The Dark Ages 4}, Nova Cronum (The Dark Ages 3), Polyhex (Ultimate Guide). That's not all, I'd believe, but so nearly all it might as well be the same thing. My guess is that either the two mean the same thing in different takes on Cybertron (as Dreamwave, if I have seen it correctly, is fairly unique in its depiction of Cybertron), or that OST refers to the whole physical "patch", whereas city-state means the political influence. I have to hunt down the word city-state yet to make a comparision. Geewunling 12:30, 9 January 2010 (EST)
I'll re-read when I get home from work. For some reason a distinction between polar states and torus states is sticking in my head, but I'll have to make sure I'm not hallucinating it.--RosicrucianTalk 12:42, 9 January 2010 (EST)
I don't recall Iacon ever being called a polar state, but Kaon was in The Ultimate Guide and The Dark Ages 4. I wouldn't know of any distinction made, but I admit I have only read up on The War Within comics to collect data for various location articles. Micromasters and Generation One, not so much, so possibly a distinction is made in those. Geewunling 13:03, 9 January 2010 (EST)

Would the image given of the Aligned Continuity Map of Cybertron in the Transformers Vault, describing the various polities be a proper image for this article? Lush City 8:05, 9 December 2011 (EST)

I doubt it; that only covers one universe, while the article discusses all the various polities across the multiverse. A better place for it might be on the Cybertron article, under the "Aligned" section.Tom Servo the Great 08:41, 9 December 2011 (EST)
I was just thinking that because it was the only lareg scale view of several polities we have (out side the DK map) that it would be useful as a display of the various ones. Maybe a caption like "Various Polities in aligned Continuity."
