Talk:Powermaster

Um... G2 Power Masters. I assume we would at least need a disambiguation link, since the two are fairly different. In fact, might as well make a disambig PAGE, since there are also "Powered Masters" in existance, and that's close enough for confusion. --M Sipher 22:30, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Filter?

[edit]

The "technology" section talks about the Nebulons acting as energy filters. Does this come from somewhere? In People Power! they seemed to act as replacement power sources by eating cheeseburgers. I don't think the Nebulons were filtering poison cheeseburgers. The radiation only poisoned fuel. - Starfield 23:39, 11 November 2009 (EST)

Toy Triggers by Faction...

[edit]

It come up on Alspark today about the two different triggering methods used by Powermaster toys. Some trigger by the minifigure's crotch and some by their knees. Of the ones I had on hand to check, all the Autobots (Prime, Getaway, Joyride) were crotch-triggered and the Cons (Overlord, Dreadwing) were knee triggered. However I lack the other Powermasters right now to confirm if the division is indeed across the board by faction. If someone could confirm that, we could add the info here. --76.28.76.206 14:18, 4 May 2010 (EDT)

How many Whoppers?

[edit]

I get what we are trying to do with the math in calculating how much food a Powermaster would have to eat, but I have some quibbles. Why would we assume that a super robot lifeform gets poor gas mileage? I would think Transformers would be high-tech enough to be more efficient than an average SUV. Plus, we don't really know how the Powermaster thing works. For all we know, it could be like Mr. Fusion. - Starfield 00:03, 1 June 2012 (EDT)

Did any of those number-happy early bios ever give numbers for fuel efficiency? Anyway, I say leave that part in - even if the numbers were tweaked, it's still a fun note. --MissRatbat (talk) 03:00, 29 January 2015 (EST)

Toy Gimmick Compatibility

[edit]

Are the smaller partners/engines fully compatible with all larger figures, faction specific, or pack-in exclusive? The Headmaster gimmick was universal, and the existence of additional Japan-exclusive individual-release Godmaster mini-figs suggests this as such, but individual toolings seem to disagree. Is there/should there be a section with this information? Hida Atarasi 02:05, 30 November 2012 (EST)

I do know that not all of the transformations quite triggered the same way, and thus not all Powermasters hit the correct buttons.--RosicrucianTalk 02:19, 30 November 2012 (EST)
