Name?

What's the origin of "Rahge"? I ask because names of Japanese origin wouldn't have "h" and "g" next to each other. (No, I'm not proposing we rename every Japanese character into a transliteration of their Katakana.) Interrobang 00:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

It might be a pronunciation helper, so us English tykes know it's supposed to sound like "Roj" instead of "Rayj." Dlin's known for doing that, IIRC. --ItsWalky 01:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I think it's "rah-geh." Japanese words don't end with the "JuDGE fuDGE" sound, unless her name is something like "raaju" and it's implied that you whisper the 'u' at the end. Because it's not pronounced "rayj" or "rahj", it's pronounced "rah-geh". I suppose spelling it "Rahgeh" might've helped make it clearer. I feel that spelling it "Rage" is a bad decision, though, as it will only encourage mispronunciation, regardless of the pronunciation guide at the top of the article.--Apcog 21:07, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Why are we voting when there has been no discussion on the move notice for a month? And isn't our policy 100% crystal clear that English names take priority? Is that policy changing? Do you have any argument other than just weeaboo wanting to keep a name that's impossible to actually write out without cutting and pasting or memorizing keyboard shortcuts that almost no one uses? I don't personally think it matters which is the header so long as both "Rāge" and "Rage (BWN)" are functional redirects to the page. Rāge is technically correct, but accommodations should be made to people who don't have special character shortcuts. Rage (BW) is definitely wrong, though, because (BWN) is her franchise of origin.
