is the Devil's Due Joe/TF series its own continuity? What suffix does it get? -Derik 22:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

"Devil's Due G.I.Joe vs Transformers" --ItsWalky 22:17, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

That's a long suffix. Iw as thinking more liek 'Ratchet (Joe/TF)' -Derik 22:33, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Oh, THAT kind of continuity. No, it falls under G1. It would be a subheading under this article. --ItsWalky 22:42, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I edited the part about him being part of the "fifth and final" wave of HOC, because there were seven waves. Also, in that section there is a missing word, which I presume to be head, in the sentence about paint missing on the back of something for a pipe lighting effect (the actual wording was "a patch of unpainted plastic at the back of his would emulate" etc). I put in the word 'head', feel free to correct it if it is actually something else.

Don't have resources to do myself, but someone needs to update Ratchet's IDW section - the ongoing, Bumblebee etc.

Various things. I think the Footnotes should probaly be changed to storylinks... with THAT many, that huge Footnotes list looks awful. Also, how are we handling, well, any movie stuff? I deleted the movie bit here for now, not the least of which being because it was in the wrong place even if we were gonna keep it... thoughts? --M Sipher 08:41, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

WRONGNESS: 'In 1990, he was issued again in Europe as part of the "Classics" line'. No! Ironhide was reissued, but not Ratchet.

Inconsistent fiction/story linking

[edit]

It's probably due to the fact some fiction sections of his were written in the early days of the wiki or not enough text was written, but just for clarification, why are the story/fiction links in this article alternating between the traditional {{Storylink|Name of Story}} and footnote links at the bottom of the page? --FFN 06:33, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

You answered your own question. --ItsWalky 07:05, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Then we should probably work on those G1 articles (or any articles with sections largely unchanged since 2006). So many are about what they were like in the fiction, rather than what they did or participated in. --FFN 13:33, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Nicknames

[edit]

I think we'd better footnote-source the "nicknames" for the 84 crew. Because let's face it, without a source, those are easy to assume somebody just made up... especially Ratchet's. Which will just lead to a lot of delete-and-revert. Or someone will add every term the character's been called, like "Doc". And really, hyperobscure factual info like this SHOULD have the sources listed. I know ROUGHLY where they came from, but not the EXACT sources. Anyone? --M Sipher 16:00, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

The nicknames also really don't belong up top like that, as if they're actually relevant information. No one has ever called Ratchet either of those things, in any story, ever. They belong down in the trivia section. --KilMichaelMcC 17:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Hm. That's a good point. The inclusion up top always kinda bugged me, but I couldn't quite pin down why... admittedly, I hadn't given it all that much thought. But yeah. I think the sourced nicknames should probably go under "Trivia". --M Sipher 18:11, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Greenface

[edit]

Million Publishing has worked in cooperation with TakaraTomy to provide a cutout animation-style face for Emergency Green Ratchet. It's a downloadable PDF, so anyone with a decent image editor and a bit of skill who didn't order the recent Encore editions can probably edit the image to color-match whatever Ratchet they already have. Worth mentioning on the page, or just Discussion page trivia?--Apcog 15:14, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Color Scheme

[edit]

It's possible that Ratchet is not aligning himself with Switzerland, but that he, like me, is a member of National Ski Patrol. http://www.nsp.org/ And that this is the reason for the inverted shoulder colors on the Hall of Fame banner at BotCon 2011. At least, I hope that's the case. --Haven13 18:45 27 January 2015

The Autobot

[edit]

"In some timelines, Ratchet becomes the last Autobot alive, thus taking on the moniker The Autobot." - Would be nice to know what timelines. I tried Ctrl+F "The Autobot" on this page and its subpages and didn't find anything relevant. --flicky1991 08:02, 29 September 2017 (EDT)

I think it's the Dreamwave/Devil's Due G.I.Joe/Transformers limited. But yeah, I proposed a while back to make one-time aliases from the Intro blurb into clickables linking to the relevant spot on the page. --Xaaron (talk) 09:07, 29 September 2017 (EDT)
I put in a footnote reference there. Does that resolve the confusion? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 10:43, 29 September 2017 (EDT)
