Just a quick check. Rhinox vs. Tankor together or seperate?

Dumb Tankor, pre-Rhinox is a separate entry. --ItsWalky 16:02, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
...why? Are we going by Megatron/Galvatron logic? These two never co-existed tho... makign them 1 entry is an order of magnitude less complicated.
TFU Tankorr seperate, yes. -Derik 20:28, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Because dumb Tankor is a separate personality shell program that is not Rhinox. The two were never meant to mingle; Rhinox's spark merely POWERS the body and program (plus makes the Maximals reluctant to hurt Tankor.) Just as Thrust is a separate entry from Wasipnator, and Jetstorm will be separate from Silverbolt. --M Sipher 20:31, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

If that control art is going to be in the article, I think it would be far better off down in the toys section. --KilMichaelMcC 22:31, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Armada Rhinox

[edit]

So, uh, with the Sourcebook fuckery, are we going to merge the two articles? —Interrobang 06:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I vote no. We have to acknowledge the idiotic insinuation, unfortunately. --M Sipher 06:49, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

pic needed of Rhinox in Allspark from BM

[edit]

We need a screencap of Rhinox communicating with Primal from the Allspark just so there's a place for a "Rhinox is Death" joke. I'd do it myself since I have the DVD's, but I have no idea how to get a screencap (PrtSc doesn't work on video media for some reason) --FortMax 21:38, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Robot Heroes Tankor?

[edit]

Uh... why is he the only Tankor on this page? When we start putting ONE tankor in his toylist, we have to include them all! I sugest that he gets removed.--Sunjumper 12:32, 18 July 2009 (EDT)

BW Movie Coin

[edit]

"Beast Wars Movie Coin (1997) Released only in Japan, Rhinox was one of three characters from Beast Wars to receive a movie coin, the other two being Rattrap and Scorponok." Definitely not accurate. I have the Tarantulas coin sitting in a desk drawer somewhere. Is whoever added this still around? -LV 12:24, 12 May 2013 (EDT)

Main pic

[edit]

It's so much worse now. (Also, can't be "more accurate".) -LV (talk) 15:40, 16 June 2021 (EDT)

whether its worse or not, idc, but it is more accurate. That "loincloth" that is on BOTH of his modern toys likely came from that main pic. its not on the animation model --notsoalex (talk) 16:41, 16 June 2021 (EDT)
Kingdom Rhinox is based on the Forged To Fight phone game model. Mainframe Rhinox does indeed have a yellow area on his crotch that you could add the toy's samurai skirt detailing to if you wanted, and that's likely why that bit of toy detailing persists. Also, what the heck, accurate to WHAT? We are not selecting main images solely based on how much they faithfully adhere to the cartoon. Not now, not ever. --ItsWalky (talk) 19:32, 16 June 2021 (EDT)
I wanna back this up. "More like the cartoon" has NEVER been why a mainpic has been chosen. This wiki has always embraced that renditions of characters will differ, always have differed, and we've allowed for that in mainpic choices, with the preference for the earlier renditions. If Rhinox had been an animation-original character who later got a toy, then yes, the CG render would be preferable but not necessarily the only choice. But Rhinox was a toy first. The BW10 art blends those two close-together initial looks, so it makes a good mainpic for a character whos's been interpreted a few ways. It's why renditions of G1 characters that blend the animation models with toy-based elements are fine as mainpics and always have been.
Also no seriously that render is a terrible pose that makes him look pretty doofy and doesn't really get the character across at all. --M Sipher (talk) 01:11, 17 June 2021 (EDT)
(He looks like he's pulling up his skirt to show us his cooch.) --ItsWalky (talk) 19:32, 16 June 2021 (EDT)
