Out of curiosity, where was this named? ---Blackout- 04:48, 12 June 2010 (EDT)

Vector Prime's profile in the TFCC magazine. - 18:25, 12 June 2010 (EDT)

Origin of Name?

[edit]

Is it possible that the name comes from the protagonist of Heinlein's "Green Hills of Earth"? JW 15:35, 22 July 2010 (EDT)

Artifact of the Primes?

[edit]

Vector Prime is one of the original thirteen, and it's stated that the forge of Solus Prime was used to make all other artifacts of the 13, so does this imply Rhisling was also forged in this manner?

Any claims we could make would be speculation. —Interrobang 22:08, 18 March 2012 (EDT)

"Cyber Caliber"

[edit]

Okay, here's one for the detectives - I've heard that the sword was named "Cyber Caliber" on VP's instruction sheet for years. Well here's the sheet at TF@TheMoon, and I'm not seeing it. Was this from his Japanese instructions, perhaps, or is it just made up? - Chris McFeely 06:07, 15 May 2013 (EDT)

If the misspelled "Caliber" in Exiles/the Bible is our fault for copying something someone made up years ago, the wiki bears the weight of great shame. -LV 09:51, 15 May 2013 (EDT)
I'm pretty sure the factoid is a year-old uncited import from Wikipedia. But it does sound like something the Japanese would call his sword, I just can't find a scan of his instructions to prove it either way. If anyone has a GF VP and still has 'em... - Chris McFeely 10:18, 15 May 2013 (EDT)
As I showed over at the Allspark thread, you played a part in first removing the initially completely unsourced mention of the name (originally added by Razorsaw), then re-added it, this time attributing it to Japan until an anon IP changed "Japan" to "instructions".--Nevermore 12:21, 15 May 2013 (EDT)
Rookie contributor JelZe GoldRabbit added a note on the Cyber Caliber page about the name being inspired by "Excalibur." I think he is probably right about that and it makes me think "Cyber Caliber" was Japanese and the Japanese were going for Cybercalibur and it got mis-transliterated as Cyber Caliber. - Starfield 22:45, 15 May 2013 (EDT)
