Re: Where's this sourced from?

[edit]

It's sourced from the NTFA clip of Animated. Keep the article. 72.194.91.250

  1. Please use spoiler tags when describing things in unaired episodes.
  2. Please adhere to the style guide. That means writing in-universe, so using phrases "as seen at NTFA" in the fiction section is right-out wrong.
  3. I love donuts.
--ItsWalky 02:37, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Can I blame this this sort of writing on the Wikipedia? --FFN 02:45, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Personally I had to ask because it had been added by you-know-who, and was a direct copy of Ultra Magnus.--RosicrucianTalk 03:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

His main image caption goddamn well better be SPOOOOOOON!!!. --M Sipher 00:55, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Granted --Hunter-113 01:05, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Surely, this cartoon will be the Epic Battle of the Chins. --Hepathos 01:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Agreed, but we all know Chinscream will win. --Dynamus Prime 17:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Allright, who changed the awesome cations of this page?--Grand-majin 16:15, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
I know I changed the main image quote from "SPOOOOOOON!" to another caption. However the caption that I changed it to was still a Tick quote, specifically from "The Tick vs. The Tick." I considered it appropriate.--RosicrucianTalk 16:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
I still think the original caption of his first image to be better fitting with "spoon!" below it. I just can't see that he would willingly call himself a jerk with that huge ego.(because his high and mighty statues, i would even bet he will hate humans.)--Grand-majin 17:25, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Ah, but that jerk line's another Tick reference. And a much more fitting one might I add, just based on Sentinel Prime's personality as we've seen it. 155.33.129.146 17:37, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
We can always save the "SPOOOOOOOOOON" quote for when we inevitably have an image of him in battle. As it was the Tick's battle cry, it would be quite appropriate in that context. - Semysane 01:10, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
I can agree with that point, even though I think "SPOOOOOOON!" is quite funny (being one of those naturally funny words and all). With the other image caption, I changed it from "Party at my starship..." into "...THE GUN SHOW" because I thought it seemed more appropriate because of his transformation. Just watch the transformation and see what you think.--AWT88 04:09, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

changing jerk to dick

[edit]
Why does someone change all the words with jerk in it into dick? I'm not the one doing it, but it's annoying to see 1à edits of it on the "recent changes" list. And why bother with something like that anyway?--Grand-majin 19:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Some anon keeps doing it. I think it's an attempt to use a stronger word than jerk. Personally, I prefer jerk, since I'd rather not have little kids come here looking for info and start using it in sentences. Kids shouldn't pick up swear words on the internet...they should hear them at school, from television, and from their parents, like the rest of us were. -- SFH 19:43, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Mainpic

[edit]

Good gawd, can we find an official model sheet for the big blue guy yet? I'm getting really sick of staring at that postage stamp sized promo headshot of his, but I can't seem to dredge anything up in my searches for a better image.--RosicrucianTalk 20:07, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't know who uploaded it, but there's one sitting up top now. Also, this isn't his main pic, but does anyone else think that his Cybertronian robot form looks striking similar to his Earth one? I mean, all the other characters' bodies had signicant changes to them when they adopted Earth forms (or is he more along the lines of the G1 cartoon where their Cybertronian and Earth bodies were identical). Just wanna throw that out there.--AWT88 16:39, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
He has about the same amount of differences. He gained the plow-shoulders, the grill on his back, etc.--RosicrucianTalk 16:40, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
What I'm getting at is that his pre-Earth body looked like it had the plow shoulders, not sure about the grill because I didn't get a good look at his back. The lights look the same, I think his entire body looks the same.--AWT88 16:46, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
His pre-earth body doesn't have the weird skull-face thing he has on his chest on earth, and the details on his forearms are different.--Carrion 17:49, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
You mean he doesn't have the wings on the Autobot emblem
No, I mean he doesn't have the creepy yellow headlight/eyes--Carrion 00:52, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Phobia

[edit]

What do you think we should call his phobia for organic life? I suggest Zoophobia, a fear of animals, since he sees humans as little more than animals. Organic-phobia may not be right since we haven't really seen how he acts around other types of organics, like plants. - Semysane 00:32, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't know. I was trying to use the language they use in the fiction, and I wasn't sure if organophobia was a word. -- SFH 00:34, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
"Organophobia" is perfectly valid, since both "organic" and "phobia" are from the Greek. It's also the most descriptive word, since "organics" is the word he uses. JW 00:36, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough. Maybe we should even make an article on organophobia. Are there any other TF characters with it? - Semysane 00:39, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Was Sinnertwin specifically afraid of small organics, or just anything small? --Thylacine 2000 00:56, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Rippersnapper and Megatron both displayed...a revulsion of organic life, at least. - RolonBolon 03:29, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Tick quotes

[edit]

I think we need to use more of em for the captions. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with em so...User:GWolfv2 19.31 May 25th

Hey, I kinda support the idea, too. Wikiquote has a whole bunch of them, so, I might see if we can do this.--Spin-Out 20:30, 25 August 2009 (EDT)

Picture and Caption request

[edit]
This article needs a picture were jetstorm/jetfifre drag Sentinel on there magnet grapple with his arms crossed, with the caption "welcome to jerk air!".--Sunjumper 10:59, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

Redirect question/suggestion

[edit]

Could we have jerk or Jerk (or both) redirect to Sentinel's page? I think it'd be funny at least. Or would that be considered an inappropriate use of humor? --Tigerpaw28 19:42, 17 April 2009 (EDT)

No. ("Jerk" and "jerk" are the same thing. Articles don't start with lowercase letters.) —Interrobang 19:47, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
Aaaaaand we've been trying to cut down on redirects that aren't likely search terms, including those just for yuks.--RosicrucianTalk 19:52, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
Ok, fair enough. Just wanted to check to see what the policy was on that, since I didn't see it mentioned in the help section. Consider this case closed. --Tigerpaw28 01:26, 18 April 2009 (EDT)

Protected

[edit]

I was wondering why the page is protected. Is there something wrong with Sentinel? (Besides he's the biggest slaggin jerk ever)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by TransformerChick (talkcontribs){{#if:| {{{2}}}|}}.

Prime?

[edit]

Since he has the rank of Prime, doesn't this make Sentinel one of the Thirteen? RocketM1984 (talk) 13:42, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

Not all Primes are members of the Thirteen - especially in Animated, where "Prime" is just a regular military rank. -Ookalf (talk) 14:39, 8 October 2015 (EDT)

Screencap size

[edit]

Is there a particular reason virtually all the cartoon screencaps are so small? DancouMaryuu (talk) 12:31, 28 October 2022 (EDT)

The screencaps were all originally 4:3, so they extended further downward than the 16:9 versions would when set to that length. All the screencaps were updated to 16:9 a few years ago, but the width wasn't increased to compensate. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 12:48, 28 October 2022 (EDT)
