Talk:Slapper (RID)
Untitled
[edit]Did anyone save a copy of the Wreckers group shot that had Slapper in it, before it was changed to Spittor? -Derik 06:29, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- So... that would be a 'yes.' I think this shoudl be in a trivia/oddities section, not a 3H comics section. After all, Slapper/Guusher never WAS in those comics. -Derik 05:08, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Apparently he's in Wreckers: Finale Part II, and his information is on this page, despite this being a G1-universe Slapper. I, uh, think we need a Slapper (G1) to move that info to. --ItsWalky 02:12, 8 January 2010 (EST)
Spittor/Slapper
[edit]I have no idea where I heard this, but I could swear that someone affiliated with 3H said that, although they were planning to use Slapper's red color scheme in Wreckers, the character was still going to be Spittor - sort-of like how Ramulas was still Ramulas even though he wasn't in his normal colors. But, when they learned CR was being imported, they used Spittor's original colors instead (presumably to avoid confusion, I don't remember exactly). Am I making this up? --Monzo 05:36, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Toy differences
[edit]I haven't got a CR Gushar toy to compare- but I thought the american toy had a pink spark crstal while the japanese one was purple. (This being the old change.) Am I wrong? -Derik 23:10, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Japanese name parsing
[edit]Would anyone object to RiD Slapper's Japanese name being re-parsed from "Gushar"/"Guushar"/"Gusher" (all of which are on the Wiki) to simply "Goosher"?
I feel this spelling shows how his name is said in the most clear and understood way, while the others (besides being inconsistent) I feel call to mind more of a "Guh-" sound than a "Goo-" sound, particularly to those unfamiliar with proper Japanese vowel sounds.
And, well, it's not like we have an official English spelling of the name to pull from anyway, as very few Car Robots character names have official romanizations. --Sabrblade (talk) 14:36, 2 March 2017 (EST)
