Cyberjet Strafe's altmode is defintely not a S-37; while the S-37 and Strafe both have forward-swept wings and two engines, the similarites end there. Strafe has no canards, differnt tails, no tailbooms, a different forward fuselage and a differnt nose.

Furthermore, Strafe's cyberjet toy predates the S-37. --Darthfish 04:10, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm not prepared to sit here and defend the Space Case/S-37 ID at the moment, but the Space Case mold absolutely does have canards. -LV 04:51, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Gah. I meant tailplanes. Space Case/Strafe lacks tailplanes, the S-37 has them. My mistake. But you get what I mean. I hope.

The designation was initially S-32, changed to S-37, and then to Su-47 through the plane's development. It's gone by a few number designations... And 'Berkut' roughly translates to 'Gold Eagle'. But Strafe's not one.

But as for Space Case being one... Not really, no. The only similarity between the two is the hypercritical wings. Space Case also has them drooped, while the Berkut has them straight across. The Berkut also has sizable upright stabilizers, which Space Case lacks, and very long horizontal tailplanes while SC has more outward-pointed ones in a very flat V-tail formation. SC's forward canards are tiny compared to the Berkut, and also have a groove implying a fixed forward section and rear flap, while the Berkut has full-flight canards.

Now, engines. The Berkut sports a pair of cylindrical thrust-vectoring nozzles for its engines, flanked by two unequal-length tailcones; Short one a rear-facing radome, the long one housing a drag chute. Space Case sports 'pointy' two-dimentional thrust-vectoring nozzles, as seen on the F-22, and lacks either of the two tailcones.

As for nosecones, the Berkut has a long, pointed, and ROUND nose and cockpit taken directly from the Su-35 series, including the raised blister which protrudes forward of the right side of the canopy. Space Case, instead, has a shortened nosecone, which is blunted, flattened and sports chines. It also lacks that forward blister. While both have intakes to either side of the nosecone, they're divergent in shape.

And all this, of course, ignores the robot kibble slung underneath Space Case, as well as the hunchbacked shape the jet's taken to fit it all underneath.

henkei strafe

[edit]

In the henkei line Strafe tranforms into a sonic jet fighter just like universe and henkei Cyclonus. But in some way making it look like the Strafe from G1 you should put its nosecone inside and leaving the head only. Turn the head around and then add some orange gun to side that have lines. Make sure they have the same size as the line. And I like to call his targetmaster partner Daystick since he has orange has bright colors including gold chrome which resembles day. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by John rafael G.S. Cyberjet mold

[edit]

I think this mold's jet mode is based on the GI Joe Conquest X-30 (itself based on the Grumman X-29). Khajidha 20:38, 28 October 2009 (EDT)

Strafe Evolution 2-Pack

[edit]

Are we really going to place the AOE two pack under this Strafe based on the package art? It looks like the Hasbro staff just looked up a pic for G1 Strafe without realizing that the original character was Swoop. It wouldn't be the first time package art was mixed up. Even if we go by the description that says "Stealth Fighter", it also says he's a Dinobot which G1 Strafe definitely isn't.Riddlerj (talk) 20:44, 2 June 2014 (EDT)

Yes.--ItsWalky (talk) 21:34, 2 June 2014 (EDT)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0uG8JszvCs&t=23m5s Confirmed to be an error, and was supposed to be Swoop. I think it could be moved. Zandergb (talk) 15:28, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
It's hilarious to keep it on G1 Strafe's page, but it really should be on Swoop's page with notes on both pages about the error. Antimatter (talk) 15:36, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
Yeah. We consider Oval and Backtrack's name swap on the back of the Cybertron Street Speed Team's packaging an error, and there we don't even have the official word of a Hasbro employee.--Nevermore (talk) 15:24, 7 July 2014 (EDT)

Transformers 2010 figure

[edit]

Question. The wiki was treating the 2010 Strafe in the yellow box as its own character which could not be confirmed as G1 Strafe at all. What prompted the change? Did Legends use the design, or was it just that every other yellow box voyager has turned out to be a G1 continuity character? I'd look at the talk page for him, but I can't actually find it because I forget the tagline used. Sky Shadow (talk) 14:55, 7 December 2014 (EST)

G2 Strafe's 'Con symbols

[edit]

I just got an MOC G2 Strafe, and one of the first things I noticed upon opening him was that he, like Jetfire, has Decepticon stickers on him. They are on the undersides of his tailfins. This detail is not mentioned in the article, probably because said stickers are absent from the figure in M Sipher's photo. --AutoFire (talk) 17:13, 3 July 2018 (EDT)
