Talk:Tantrum (G1)

Pete from the club said that this Tantrum is dead in the Timelines comic, and the Tantrum we see is a "descendent", so don't we need a seperate page for him? This page treats them as one character. 68.61.240.172 21:41, 22 November 2009 (EST)

I have the BW omnibus, and i can't find that symbol that's supposed to be on the wall with the other four predacon faces. Was that changed in the omnibus for some reason?--67.142.174.22 22:53, 27 September 2010 (EDT)

This note... is tantrum really a buffalo? I thought he was a regular bull steer... it has been a while since I've seen buffalo though.Spork 23:56, 25 March 2013 (EDT)

It says buffalo on his instruction sheet. --abates 00:40, 26 March 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, he's a buffalo. A water buffalo mind you, not an American buffalo/bison. --KilMichaelMcC 07:56, 26 March 2013 (EDT)
I get the buffalo part, but where'd the "water" part come from? Beetle Bug (talk) 10:38, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
From the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}water buffalo|{{#if:||water buffalo}}]]. It's a real thing. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 10:40, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
No, I know that, but that's not what I meant. I meant, where did the fact of him being that come from? As in, I know that the "buffalo" came from the Predacons' Secret Files profile, as the note says, but what source provided the info on what kind of buffalo, hence the "water" buffalo part? Beetle Bug (talk) 10:45, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
I'm not sure there is any canonical specification as to whether Tantrum is an Asian water buffalo or African cape buffalo. --Thylacine 2000 (talk) 11:02, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
Yeah, same here, so I was thinking that it should be changed to just "buffalo" until such a thing can be found. If that's alright, I'd like to change it if there are no objections. Beetle Bug (talk) 11:09, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
I think that the important thing is that we make it clear that he is modeled after one of the true buffalo species and not the American bison. --Khajidha (talk) 14:57, 12 July 2021 (EDT)
I guess. Either way, it appears fixed now. Beetle Bug (talk) 15:16, 12 July 2021 (EDT)

Headlock

[edit]

Did any fiction actually use this name for him or is it just the name that was attached to his Kre-O toy? If the latter, I suggest we do not treat it as an actual alternative name (remove from the opening) and just leave the explanatory note at the end. We don't consider the original Topspin toy a valid representation of Twin Twist just because the original packaging swapped their photos. This is pretty much the same. I think there's a similar situation with some Minicons where a redecoed release swaps the names but we ignore that here, too. --Khajidha (talk) 11:12, 23 April 2018 (EDT)

Update: it's the Street Speed Mini-Con Team members Oval and Backtrack that I was thinking of. --Khajidha (talk) 11:24, 23 April 2018 (EDT)

Pinhead POTP

[edit]

I have the Power of the primes figure and I noticed that there is a pin going through the head. What is it for? There's no hinged jaw or anything.--Metalstar (talk) 12:28, 16 February 2019 (EST)
