Talk:The Gloaming
Radiohead Reference
[edit]This is actually the second time a Radiohead song has been referenced in a story title in which Roberts' has had a hand in producing (see here). Therefore it might not be "just a coincidence." --NebulanFree 14:46, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- Roberts himself said it was. - Chris McFeely 18:25, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
I didn't see the citation on the note, hence my speculation. The citation has been added. --NebulanFree 03:20, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
- It's also the name of a track by the electro-prog band Pure Reason Revolution, from their album Amor Vincit Omnia. Given Mr. Roberts' taste for dreary, obscure British music, this might well be his actual inspiration for the title. --Ryan Frost 06:48, 6 May 2013 (EDT)
Junk
[edit]Is there a roundabout TF:TM reference in here? Ratchet is talking about reattaching [Drift's] legs, while Tailgate busies himself with wiping down one of Magnus' legs with a cloth. It's somewhat evocative of Ultra Magnus' reassembly by the Junkions. --NebulanFree 15:04, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- I think if you're trying to pin a reference on something and the best you can do is describe it as "somewhat evocative," I think you need to step back, think, and then abandon this course of action. --ItsWalky 18:34, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
Fair enough.--NebulanFree 03:16, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
Tailgate
[edit]Apologies if i'm nitpicking, but shouldn't Tailgate be under Autobot, since underwent the rite of autobrand (or something similar, i can't remember) during the annual. Admittedly it didn't go well but.... Mini-master 15:29, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
- IIRC, the ceremony in the annual was a kind of 'well done for passing your Autobot Code test, you're well on the way to becoming an Autobot' kind of thing, rather than his final induction as an Autobot. He's still not wearing an insignia, for instance. Jalaguy 15:50, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, Tailgate's not quite there yet.--NebulanFree 20:36, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
Kickoff
[edit]It's pretty definitely him. That's his head design and deco, and him being dead doesn't matter because it's Rewind's archive footage.--RosicrucianTalk 02:53, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- Note to self: don't edit shit I haven't read. All I knew was that Kick-Off died in LSOTW, so I thought I knew what I was doing. Just because the user whose edit I fecked with was a red-link, doesn't mean they're automatically wrong. Note to self: complete. Commence head-desk. Bobpiecheese 03:02, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- That one's on me, I always mix those two guys up. -Chris McFeely 08:01, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
Why is Rodimus on the character list twice.
[edit]Hesirant to remove it in case there's a reason. Flydie 14:05, 28 May 2013 (EDT)
- *checks issue* No, someone screwed up. His appearance for one panel (and some voiceover) between the Ratchet/Tailgate/Drift scene and the Skids/Chromedome scene is the first, and the "you've wrecked your room" scene with Rung is the second. There's no reason, or mixing up with someone else. - SanityOrMadness 16:00, 28 May 2013 (EDT)
Featured Characters
[edit]Rodimus is listed twice in the featured characters box, once as 23 and once as 27. I'd fix this myself, but I don't have this issue and would be unable to fix the numbering problem. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 17:31, 26 January 2016 (EST)
