Talk:The Permanent Revolution
Unidentified guy
[edit]The guy with Browning standing on his shoulder looks like Doubleheader to me. Saix (talk) 13:30, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- Red guy looks like Vroom, and his head details match up with the Vroom Decepticon redeco from the concept art on the Victory cartoon page. Escargon (talk) 15:00, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- Oh, hey, "Shadowmaru" and "Doubleheader" are there as well. Saix (talk) 15:22, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- Okay, I need to take a breath and try and regrow the neurons I just burnt out, but I don't see anyone who looks like the guy with Browning on his shoulder here. - Chris McFeely (talk) 15:29, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- The guy to the left of Star Saber. But looking at it again, I'm probably grasping for straws. Saix (talk) 15:35, 8 April 2015 (EDT)

Warpath?
[edit]Is Killbison actually based on Generations Warpath? There's stylistic similarities, but (unlike Deathcobra from Scourge) there don't seem to be any specific details that match up. Warpath certainly doesn't have his treads on his shoulders... Jalaguy (talk) 14:15, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- Eh, maybe not then. Sipher pointed it out to me. I'd rather believe that the regular BF's maybe don't have designs based on anything and it's only outsider Deathcobra who does because I'm already going crazy over these last two generics. - Chris McFeely (talk) 14:28, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
Tarn and Skids
[edit]I noticed something about the Skids appearance in Tarn's flashback, it seems to be set as being part of Skids getting stopped by Roller in #10, just from Roller's perspective. Skids looks about the same age, and he has the mini Matrix tattoo on his cheek, which we did not see in #10 because we only ever got to see him from the left. I would say it's a further hint to Roller being Tarn, here http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z113/Dead_Metal_album/Tarn-is-Roller_zpsyx9l0e2o.jpg Yeah, kinda over did it with the "confirmed", but I'm leaving it here in case it does get confirmed in a future issue. The pic could be used for the wiki to address the connection (I still have a "clean" text less version). Dead Metal (talk) 16:35, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
- It could certainly be interpreted as a hint, but all it means at face value is that Tarn knew Skids at some point when he was younger and had the tattoo. Nothing dates it to circa-#10 specifically. - Chris McFeely (talk) 16:45, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
Nickel looks like Kup?
[edit]Is it just me, or does Nickel strongly physically resemble Kup, specifically the Generations Sergeant Kup toy? And if so, is that worth noting on this article? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 15:26, 9 April 2015 (EDT)
That second "Trivia" point...
[edit]"Tarn's justification for the continued slaughter of non-Cybertronian life is the slaughter of Nickel's colony world... which was done in retaliation for the slaughter of non-Cybertronian life Megatron preached. Ooookaaaaaaay."
I think Tarn's revelation is a bit more nuanced than that. He was going to kill himself because he saw Megatron and the Decepticon cause as one; it was only when he looked at Nickel and remembered her situation that he awoke to the realization that the cause was ABOVE Megatron. He had to continue the cause not out of revenge but because of the "truth" of it; Nickel is "proof" that organics ARE a threat to Cybertronian life and thus must be wiped out. Magaroja (talk) 18:47, 9 April 2015 (EDT)
- No it isn't. He pretends it is, but it isn't. The "reason" organics are a threat is because they're retaliating for Megatron's first-strike genocide against organics. The "proof" is circular, twisted, "the terrorists hate our freedom" level bullshit, and he's using a traumatized victim as a poster child. Let's stop woobieing the bad guys here. --M Sipher (talk) 19:59, 9 April 2015 (EDT)
- It wasn't my intention to "wobbify" him but to try and explain the motivations - twisted as they were - for his "reinvention" of the Decepticon cause (and honestly I'd rather not be so blithely labeled as someone who "wobbies" villains just because I was trying to address a trivia point) Magaroja (talk) 13:56, 29 April 2015 (EDT)
Anti-Transformer campaign continuity link from MTMTE 2012 Annual
[edit]At the end of the 2012 MTMTE annual, Galactic Council Captain K'gard proposed a "regime change" to his superior(s) because of the Transformers being spread out. Could the Council and Consortia's actions mentioned in this issue be a follow-up to that? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 00:12, 17 May 2015 (EDT)
