Eye of the storm

[edit]

"Riding the eye of the storm"? Is that from a lyric sheet I don't know about or is it just someone's attempt to transcribe the song, because I've always thought it was "right in the eye of the storm" as in you are the calm center to the surrounding chaos. --Khajidha 12:07, 1 June 2010 (EDT)

I always heard "riding the eye of the storm", but "right in the eye of the storm" makes more sense, even if it's not as cool-sounding. --NCZ 12:09, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
Online lyrics sites seem to be split. I'm pretty sure I'm right based on the "makes sense" argument. Does anyone actually have an official copy? --Khajidha 12:31, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
The "official copy" has no liner notes. It's just a single sheet of paper in there. --ItsWalky 12:39, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
No, I meant an official copy of the lyrics. Such as you might get from the music publisher. --Khajidha 12:43, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
Does an official copy even exist? Worst case scenario... someone could always try to ask Stan at BotCon. --Detour 12:36, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
When Stan re-recorded it, the lyrics were parsed to "You're in the eye of the storm." To me that means it was originally "right in" --Bluestreak7 13:43, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
The Rock Band 2 lyrics say "ridin' the eye of the storm." [1] --ItsWalky 21:41, 13 October 2010 (EDT)

In my Google search, I found this awesome site. --ItsWalky 12:47, 1 June 2010 (EDT)

That site is awesome and constantly getting more awesomer. -- Repowers 23:06, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
Did you just give props to a page written entirely in Comic Sans? --Detour 23:18, 1 June 2010 (EDT)
Real fonts have no business being on a page with that much mullet. --ItsWalky 23:34, 1 June 2010 (EDT)

Live-action movie-inspired versions

[edit]

There are quite a few trivia notes discussing modern versions of the song inspired by, or recorded specifically with the 2007 movie in mind. It seems that some of them might be redundant. Is anyone who is more versed in versions of this song willing to condense the redundant bits?--Nevermore 06:18, 25 October 2010 (EDT)

I think it would work better as a simple note that Stan Bush has repeatedly tried to cash in on the renewed hype for Transformers, with a link to his page. On that page, a new section could be set up detailing all of this. Admittedly none of his later recordings are "canonical" for Transformers, but I think it could be included under a sort of "pseudocanon" rationale. --Khajidha 08:28, 25 October 2010 (EDT)

Theme

[edit]

Can it be safe to asses that this is a leader's theme? In the film it plays for both Optimus and Rodimus. Sarujo 22:18, 12 March 2011 (EST)

Well, sure, if we're making up fake categories to put songs in that don't really mean anything. --ItsWalky 22:34, 12 March 2011 (EST)
