IIRC, the episode doesn't actually state that the battle is between the French and Dutch -- wouldn't it be more likely to be between (French-speaking) Walloons and (Dutch-speaking) Flemmings (uh, Flemish?) in Belgium? Since France and the Netherlands don't actually share a border, but Belgium has continuing problems between its ethnic groups? I know there's no in-episode evidence either way though, but France--Netherlands does seem an odd assumption to go for, whereas Belgium is pretty damn obvious.

It's the G1 cartoon. And there's windmills. So... which country would most stereotypically have a bunch of windmills? That's where it's supposed to be. (I'd assume Holland, myself.) -- Repowers 08:24, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Sure, so either internal strife in the Netherlands, or a Belgian Walloon invasion of the same, are the most likely things, the simplest explanations for a pretty random scene. Having conflict between *France* and NL seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Anyhoo, the article seems very definite about who it is, when (as you say) this is G1 and it probably wasn't meant to be all that specific!

(I always liked the idea that it could just be an abstractly-European-themed theme park in the US anyway!)
