ToyCo is a Japanese company?

[edit]

I've found some links to a Japanese company named ToyCo that boasts that they created Shockwave.

I looked on their "About" page and nothing about Korea is mentioned. Perhaps the two companies are related, but ToyCo is a very generic name and it's possible they aren't. 20:24, 26 April 2021 (EDT)

The Japanese company is definitely the one that produced Astro Magnum, seeing as their logo matches the one on the box. I suspect you're correct and the two companies are unrelated. --abates (talk) 22:04, 26 April 2021 (EDT)
This just begs to question of how Takara were able to release "Laserwave," with no issues in F!SRLF. Though if Hasbro was able to sell Shockwave, the same year as RadioShack's Galactic Man, it probably isn't that big of a deal. -- DDog (talk) 22:15, 26 April 2021 (EDT)
Considering Astro Magnum was apparently also licensed to Village Toys for their Convert-A-Bots line, I would say ToyCo was apparently more than willing to license the toy to anyone who was offering them money.--Nevermore (talk) 19:07, 23 June 2021 (EDT)
I'm going to edit the info then. Feel free to change it if you hate it. Evan1975 (talk) 17:16, 1 November 2021 (EDT)
