Talk:Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001 toyline)
Looking at the long list of red links, man, we sure hate RiD on this wiki, don't we? --ItsWalky 20:45, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's just new enough to not be old and old enough to not be current. It's not Beast Wars, nor does it breed the rather
polarized liking or disliking of Armada. It's too big to be attractive to the arcana-hunters like Machine Wars is. It's the Tailgate of Transformers lines. (I am referring to the toyline with all this.) --Autobus Prime 21:07, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- RID is convinced that Hot Wheels are actually alive? --Andrusi 16:10, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Megatron
[edit]I thought Megatron was a Predacon, then when he became Galvatron, he became a Decepticon. Am I remembering this right? (The article says that both Megs and Galva were Decepticons.)
Car Robots
[edit]Theoretically speaking, the Car Robots toyline is different enough from RID to warrant its own article, yes? (Or at least mention in this article.) Especially considering that CR was first. Is it just that no one has gotten around to it yet? --Crockalley 15:23, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Car Robots is RID with non-show recolors of the same toys instead of non-show recolors of random older toys. --Andrusi 23:36, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Since Takara considers them same line, I suggest either parenthetical notes (US-only, Japan) maybe with years for Japan so...
- Sideways (Japan 2002, 'USA Edition')
- The main hierarchy timeline is Americentric, but we also include the Japanese release years when they exist
- Um, is no one going to add the 2003 line? Scourge? Bludgeon? -Derik 01:45, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- My main concern was Fortress (Brave) Maximus. It seems silly that he's not listed. He's not part of the RID toyline, which is what brought me to thinking about the CR toys. There's Brave Max, and a bunch of neat, clear redecos and such that were exclusive to CR. I guess I can get off my lazy digital ass and add that stuff myself. --Crockalley 14:11, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think the Car Robots section of the toyline listing should use the Japanese names. --ItsWalky 16:00, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was afraid of the "US names only!" reprimanding. I agree, though. --Crockalley 16:05, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Why does every Car Robots toy have (Japan) after it? It's already in the Japanese section, right? --Flicky1991 03:34, 6 February 2013 (EST)
- Seems to be a leftover from before the lists were separated into Car Robots and RID toylines. They can probably be removed. --abates 03:59, 6 February 2013 (EST)
Universe releases
[edit]Shouldn't some Universe releases like Fireflight, Swerve, Ratchet, etc go under the "post releases" section since AVP claim them to be RID guys? slyhype 17:16, 29 November 2016 (EST)
- No, because obscure retcons from Facebook is not the point of those sections. Saix (talk) 17:19, 29 November 2016 (EST)
Black Friday Landfill and JRX
[edit]I've noticed that https://news.tfw2005.com/ has good photos of the Japanese release of Rail Racer (JRX), their components as well as the Black Friday-released Landfill, however I am unsure wheter these are stock photos or photos by people on the site. I thought I should point this out, as they are good quality photos and are worth using if they're stock. ZacAttack (talk) 02:22, 13 August 2020 (EDT)
