Talk:Transformers: The Last Knight (film)
Allspark Pictures
[edit]I tried to find info on whether Allspark Pictures was involved with this, but the press release they put out when Meghan McCarthy joined just says "Paramount" beside Transformers 5, while Jem and the Holograms says "Univeral & Allspark Pictures", so it appears AP isn't going to be involved with Transformers 5? --abates (talk) 02:29, 21 September 2015 (EDT)
New Characters
[edit]Does anyone know if these characters are confirmed to be in the movie? Cyclonus, Scourge, Blitzwing, Red Alert, Ultra Magnus and Unicron? I am Wavage! Fear mweee!!! (talk) 04:46, 4 April 2016 (EDT)
- No, that's all rumor, and more-than-likely made up. If it was confirmed, it would be on the page. --Riptide (talk) 08:18, 4 April 2016 (EDT)
Confirmed Characters
[edit]Here is a video of all of the confirmed characters in Transformers: The Last Knight.
All of the Confirmed TransformersLockhqu (talk) 16:37, 3 April 2017 (EDT)
- Believe or not, some guy on YouTube talking about leaked information isn't actually official confirmation that characters are in the film. Unless a YouTube video has been uploaded by the official Transformers or Paramount channels, it's very unlikely to be a valid source for the wiki. Jalaguy (talk) 17:32, 3 April 2017 (EDT)
Voice Actors
[edit]Megatron:
Was it not confirmed that Frank Welker is voicing Megatron? From that Reveal Your Shield video. SeanTF1967
- Pretty sure it's been confirmed seeing as the Megatron mask will have his voice.. Rotary (talk) 22:40, 14 May 2017 (EDT)
Then can someone edit the character section and edit that in that Frank Welker is voicing Megatron? SeanTF1967
- I'm sure Welker is only doing the voice work for the Mask & the Movie's Merchandice. It's Best you've wait until the movie is out. Energizer (talk) 21:07, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
Cogman:
http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/05/15/new-still-transformers-last-knight-writers-room-interview-338979 This link confirms that Jim Carter voiced Cogman, could someone please edit this in? SeanTF1967
- Sorted. Though we already knew this from the fan event, I think? --abates (talk) 16:25, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
Yes we did, but the confirmation doesn't hurt. Especially since it was posted and removed, so I just thought I would post the official confirmation. SeanTF1967
Unrelated to voice acting, this video confirms that Jerrod Carmichael plays the character "Desi". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGmcq3FFjt0 SeanTF1967
Remaining Characters:
http://m.imdb.com/title/tt3371366/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_tt_cl_sc This link provides information of the voice actors for the remaining decepticons and autobots in the roster. I'm suprised to see that Erik Aadahl is voicing bumblebee. JangoPrime365
Merlin:
The full Empire Magazine article reveals Santiago Cabrera plays Merlin. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/transformers-the-last-knight-editors-crew-with-michael-bay.1109039/#post-14624250 SeanTF1967
Add in one or some of the official posters on the page
[edit]Well we already have about three posters featuring Optimus, Bee, a shield and a Cybertronian Knight. I think we should add it on the page right now.
Wheelie?
[edit]Where's the source on this guy being in the movie? BT383 (talk) 06:00, 4 June 2017 (EDT)
- He's visible in at least one of the trailers. He's seen hanging out next to Sqweeks while Bumblebee has his voice worked on (but not fixed) in what looks like Cade's junkyard workshop. --Sabrblade (talk) 08:12, 4 June 2017 (EDT)
Viviane Wembly, not Vivian Wembley
[edit]Read this old article: http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/05/27/transformers-last-knight-viviane-wembly-profile-339676 The site is TFW2005, but the profile description is from the official Facebook page of Transformers films. CAJH (talk) 05:56, 6 June 2017 (EDT)
Infernocons
[edit]Didn't the toyline tell that Infernocons are servants of Quintessa, not Decepticons? CAJH (talk) 03:11, 15 June 2017 (EDT)
exclusive shirt? (no pics)
[edit]i don't go to the movie theater very often. Is this rare? Is this licensed? Is this something TFWiki would cover?

- It’s OPTIMUS PRIME TIME. Humans and Transformers are at war and the key to the future lies in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Watch the war unfold on Tuesday, June 20 at 7:00pm for THE OPTIMUS PRIME TIME Event. Ticket holders will see TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT one hour early in 3D, and will also receive a collector's t-shirt and event lanyard.

Caption theme
[edit]When the time comes, what should we do for the caption theme this time? TF1 was the '86 movie, ROTF was Empire Strikes Back (due to hype the sequel was the ESB of Transformers, yada yada), DOTM was Wrath of Khan (Sentinel/Leonard), AOE was Jurassic Park (Dinobots). What could we do for TLK?
Maybe we should do one of Bay's other films since this is (totally) his last one, as a tribute to it? In that case, maybe Armageddon since it's probably the best known of his non-Transformer films? I see the poster right now has an Indy quote, though, so if we're going with Indy that's cool too. I have some early ideas for image captions.
- Shot of Cybertron approaching the Moon - Quote about the size of the asteroid
- Optimus vs Bumblebee - Presumably some quote between Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck
- Either a group shot of the Decepticons or Megs negotiating with TRF - Quote from Bruce Willis about assembling his crew
- London chase - "COME AND GET POPPA BEAR!!!"
- Final shot with the Autobots and humans as Optimus is about to lead the 'Bots back to Cybertron - "Leaving on a jet plane" lyrics
Just an idea that I typed up as I went along. --Chopperface (talk) 04:11, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- There's no way that it shouldn't be Monty Python and the Holy Grail. --Riptide (talk) 05:44, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- I'm still in favour of The Last Crusade. I mean, the titles match, you've got Nazis, you've got ancient knights protecting a thing, a university professor, comedy old guy... Jalaguy (talk) 06:04, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- I'd say Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as well. While Holy Grail is natural, it's expected. - TBR (talk) 06:14, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- We're also already doing a page of Holy Grail references over on "A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court," and we're above repeating ourselves! - Chris McFeely (talk) 06:57, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- Ah, Monty Python was a good idea but yeah best avoid repetition. Last Crusade sounds cool, I thought Armageddon sounded good as I was falling asleep last night but it's whatever if nobody is down for it. What ideas do you guys have for screencaps and captions? I think I got at least five obvious candidates for screencaps, and even better 4/5 of those were already shown in trailers so we can actually manage to implement them. - Chopperface (talk) 22:28, 24 June 2017 (EDT)
- Well, "Nazis. I hate these guys." for the WWII flashback, obviously. Jalaguy (talk) 04:39, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- I haven't actually seen Last Crusade ("You uncultured swine!"), so sounds good! Just glad to get a conversation started about the captions. - Chopperface (talk) 17:12, 29 June 2017 (EDT)
- May I make a request? If someone puts up an image of Optimus decapitating the Infernicons, it deserves to have the "this is how we say goodbye" exchange (maybe the end bit - "I prefer the Austrian way of saying goodbye." "So do I."). Smasher (talk) 19:10, 9 August 2017 (EDT)

Volleybot
[edit]Wouldn't having a new head and (technically) a new name make Volleybot and Topspin different guys? It would also feel strange for an established Autobot to not be with the rest of the crew; I personally took Volleybot to be an unaligned new-arrival like Daytrader. --Monzo (talk) 03:03, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- There's not really any way to tell for sure. Personally, I kinda suspect that Leadfoot's head was used because it was rigged for full facial animation and Topspin's wasn't... Jalaguy (talk) 04:39, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- Good Point. Me? I just consider it as Topspin growing a Beard. Energizer (talk) 15:33, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- I agree with Jalaguy. Nobody in the general audience would notice. I'd bet a lot of Transformers fans wouldn't notice. I've said before and will say again...if the guy he's playing soccer with in that first shot is Roadbuster, I don't think there can be any case that it's not Topspin. That may need to wait for home video. -LV (talk) 18:37, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
Starscream's head
[edit]Obviously its degree of damage changed, which should be noted in terms of continuity, but why is Starscream's head moving an error? Daytrader transported it. Was he the first one? Things move around. It's not like it's being presented as having not moved since his death. -LV (talk) 18:37, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- Especially when "Age of Extinction" specifically establishes that people were scavenging stuff from the battle sites in Chicago and selling it online. --abates (talk) 18:43, 27 June 2017 (EDT)
- Speaking of the head, why was the error of Megatron calling Starscream "My treacherous old friend" removed? Starscream is never shown to be treacherous in any of the movies!--Nevermore (talk) 19:30, 2 July 2017 (EDT)
- It was greatly implied in the second movie that Starscream would have had abandon Megatron to death and Megatron was well aware of this fact. Plus these TFs are thousands of years old and we've only seen a few years of their life. For all we know, Megatron was referring to Starscream's exploits back on Cybertron.--Primestar3 (talk) 20:02, 2 July 2017 (EDT)
- So basically "refering to something vague that happened offscreen". In other words, fanservice not actually backed up by prior installments.--Nevermore (talk) 04:34, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
- That is not an error. A nitpick, at most, but not an error in any capacity that this wiki recognizes. --ItsWalky (talk) 04:41, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
- @Nevermore, You say it's "fanservice not actually backed up by prior installments", I say it might be evidence for Starscream's previous off-screen exploits (or Megatron simply referring to the second movie). Just because movie Starscream acted loyal in Megatron's presence doesn't mean he's not treacherous, especially since it was heavily implied in the previous films and Megatron was shown to be perfectly aware of it. It's in no way an error, it's technically not a condradiction.--Primestar3 (talk) 10:27, 3 July 2017 (EDT)

Hot Rod's "original"/temporary voice actor
[edit]Before Omar Sy was cast, he had a different voice actor (you can hear it in the MTV Movie Awards clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtY-ky9yQEg ). The line "She's very difficult!" was never redubbed by Omar Sy, it seems, as in the final film that single line is still delivered by his "original" voice actor, not Omar Sy. I added this to the technical errors but it was removed, so I felt I should explain myself here.RazorSlash (talk) 19:52, 29 June 2017 (EDT)
- Ah, okay, I'm with you. - Chris McFeely (talk) 10:11, 3 July 2017 (EDT)
Box Office
[edit]"Internationally, however, the film did $196.2m in the same first five days and a whopping $123.4m of that came from China alone[8](who love the franchise so much delaying The Last Knight reduced 2016 cinema growth to 3%, down from 48% in 2015!)[9] The Chinese were expected to spend up to $290m on the film's run. [10]"
Yeah, about that.PCNTRP (talk) 21:11, 30 June 2017 (EDT)
Knight ship
[edit]Anyone remember if the Knights' hidden ship was called anything in particular? I don't, and we're already using the namespace "Knight Ship" for Lockdown's ship. What do we call the ship from this movie? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 23:06, 4 July 2017 (EDT)
Roadbuster
[edit]Was he there or not? I didn't get a thorough look at the silhouettes during my viewing so I'm willing to believe. But he's been removed from the character list now, and his TLK appearance from his own page; every other page and mention of the Wreckers still includes him in Cuba with Topspin/as a survivor. So which is it? Avalanche (talk) 10:38, 15 July 2017 (EDT)
Bumblebee Doesn't Just Appear
[edit]I re watched the movie at my local theater and you can see Bee climbing down a rope when Optimus demands the staff from Vivian.
Northrop Autobot
[edit]When exactly does this guy appear. I don't remember seeing a Northrop vehicle in the movie, perhaps in part to it being hard to remember everything in an action packed, fast paced movie. If someone could make a page recounting when he appears and what he does in the film like with the Hurricane Autobot, this would be ideal.AirjitzuRonin (talk) 01:48, 13 August 2017 (EDT)
- Judging by the edit comment it's in one of the scenes with Simmons, though I don't recall what's being referred to there. --abates (talk) 02:16, 13 August 2017 (EDT)
- It's the plane they fly over to England in-I thought I remembered Simmons saying there's no way a plane that old should be able to fly, but that might be me misremembering. Escargon (talk) 02:28, 13 August 2017 (EDT)
- Oh. I remember now. thank you. AirjitzuRonin (talk) 22:00, 13 August 2017 (EDT)

Potential lock
[edit]We are clearly going to have to remove incorrect Roadbuster and Jolt additions to the cast page every single day for the rest of creation if this page isn't locked for editing. -LV (talk) 22:45, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
- I have told Crosshair not to re-add it without discussion. Hopefully they'll pay attention. The head in the video linked to in the edit summary does not look at all like Jolt's head to me. --abates (talk) 07:51, 18 September 2017 (EDT)
- A big reason for Roadbuster being added is probably because of the Tfwiki pages for the Wreckers and Roadbuster (DOTM) list Roadbuster as being in the movie. This is probably the main source of confusion. Also If if you lock it, you should watch the movie again on Home Video where you could pause and check. -west james/notirishman (talk) 23:04, 20 September 2017 (EDT)
Knight Designation Names
[edit]Some of the Knights in the movie were given Concept Art with name designations, e.g. Ancient Knight, similar to the Talisman Knight. Should we make pages for these characters and add them to the list of Knights? -west james/notirishman (talk) 17:58, 23 September 2017 (EDT)
- All but one of those concept designs (the guy with a Celtic cross on his chest and a big axe) have actual names from their toys and are already on the list. Jalaguy (talk) 18:03, 23 September 2017 (EDT)
- The knight with the Celtics cross was dubbed Guardian Knight (https://www.instagram.com/p/BXQ7_onFKmQ/?taken-by=furio_tedeschi). There was another who didn't get a toy dubbed Ancient Knight (https://www.instagram.com/p/BYhhB3FHbJK/?taken-by=wes_burt), which was who I was specifically refering to when I said Ancient Knight. Last but not least, Samurai Knight (https://static.seibertron.com/images/movie/uploads/1505923731-the-last-knight-syfy-exclusive-concept-art-01.jpg) -west james/notirishman (talk) 18:53, 23 September 2017 (EDT)

Grimlock Speaks
[edit]After rewatching the movie on DVD, when Grimlock came out of nowhere to battle the Decepticons in the abandoned town, you here Grimlock roaring something unintelligible. However, the subtitles say "Freeze!", and when Grimlock is roaring and no else is talking, and when you listen to the roar again with the "Freeze!" in your mind, his roar does sound like the word freeze, so was Grimlock the one who said "Freeze!"? -west james/notirishman (talk) 00:23, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- That's Barricade. Escargon (talk) 10:50, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- Oh okay. Didn't realize that. Thanks. -west james/notirishman (talk) 11:05, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
Lieutenant
[edit]The credits say Mark Ryan voiced the World War 1 Tank/Lieutenant. We know the World War Tank 1 is Bulldog, but who is Lieutenant? It has to be the Spitfire Autobot. He's old, so he is might be a lieutenant? Also, the Spitfire Autobot did talk, but we don't know his voice actor since we don't know his name. The only character who didn't get named and was voiced was the Spitfire Autobot. So the Spitfire Autobot has to be Lieutenant who is voiced by Mark Ryan. And also the Lieutenant can't just be another name for Bulldog because slashes in the credits are different charcters, i.g. Crosshairs/Nitro Zeus. -west james/notirishman (talk) 00:34, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- Thanks Saix. -west james/notirishman (talk) 16:48, 10 February 2018 (EST)
Errors
[edit]Isn't Starscream's head exploding in DOTM but being intact in TLK an error? Isn't Optimus and Ironhide in old war photos in TLK but crashing to earth in 2007 in the first movie an error? Why were these errors removed? -west james/notirishman (talk) 09:50, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- His head exploded off him. Its certainly more intact than it should be, but it's not necessarily an error. And as for your second question, we also thought that Bumblebee had only just arrived on Earth in the first film, yet he's clearly been on it longer than we thought/has been there before. Escargon (talk) 10:50, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- What about Optimus and Ironhide? I'm only asking because we actually saw them crash to Earth in their protoforms, unlike Bumblebee. -west james/notirishman (talk) 11:03, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- It's a retcon. It used to be they didn't arrive on Earth until 2007. Now they have arrived at some point or another. Escargon (talk) 11:08, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- Huh. I see. So I guess it is fair to assume that Optimus and Ironhide came to Earth a while back to assist Bumblebee and Hot Rod and left to go back to Cybertron. -west james/notirishman (talk) 11:23, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- Or those aren't Optimus and Ironhide at all. That happens a lot in these movies. -LV (talk) 14:47, 1 October 2017 (EDT)
- True, true. Should we mention that and the retcon? -west james/notirishman (talk) 15:24, 1 October 2017 (EDT)

Cut scenes.
[edit]Has anyone been able to compile a list of scenes that were cut? I noticed in the special features a couple from the junkyard including Jimmy firing his blaster and a scene with Izzy talking to Crosshairs in the junkyard.
Anyone seen any more behind the scenes footage showing stuff like this?
Attack of the Autobots Reference?
[edit]The part in The Last Knight, when Bumblebee uses his voice to free Optimus Prime from mind control, could that have been a reference to the G1 Episode Attack of the Autobots? In Attack of the Autobots, The Decepticons put Prime, and few other Autobots under Mind Control when they went to recharge making them attack other bots, people, and things. Bumblebee was sent alone who received a device from Wheeljack I believe that can cure him. Bee confronts Prime, Prime swats him, and lifts him up, belly showing, which looks eerily similar when Nemesis picks Bee up, right before he slams Bumblebee on his knee, ripping off his wings in The Last Knight. In Attack of the Autobots, Bumblebee talks down the mind controlled Optimus, hearing his voice calmed him down long enough for Bumblebee to put the device on him curing him of Mind Control.
Canopy Alt Mode
[edit]I know that he doesn't possess an alternate mode in the film, but would it be possible for him to have an alt mode before the film in which he appeared? Skywarp Prime (talk) 17:01, 3 July 2019 (EDT)Skywarp Prime

Concept Art
[edit]Hey guys, new contributor but lifelong TF fan here. An insane plethora of concept art has surfaced over the last year or so, a lot of which can be found through this link. https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/the-big-tlk-concept-art-thread.1118069/
Some very noteworthy pieces from JP Targete (who did art for the writer’s room) show Quintessons, a steampunk-esque bumblebee during WW2 (likely a rough draft for the BB movie), and a lot of other interesting stuff. It’s only been officially released from the artist through IG and Twitter, but nonetheless feels like it should have a place in the “Changes before, during, and after production” section of this page. The grey area to me is that we technically don’t know which film(s) these go to. The Quintesson piece pretty obviously was drafted for TLK, but the Bumblebee WW2 art is a little more ambiguous.
Date of the story
[edit]I was rewatching the movie to scour for real-life companies and such to add to the wiki, and I noticed at timestamp 0:08:01, a clock in the JPL engineer's lab says UTC 309:20:20:48. If that clock is numbering days by 1 to 365 within a year, and we take the movie's internal detail that seriously, then The Last Knight begins on November 5 in its year. S.H.I.E.L.D.
