I've just gotta say, I love that caption on the voyager prime pic.--Carrion 13:41, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Price Points and Sub-lines?

[edit]

So, I see Deluxe, Voyager, and Leader price points. I see an "Activators" sub-line. What's their schtick? Is "Roll-Out Command" a sub-line, or just a unique Optimus toy filling his Leder-class gap? I assume "Legends" and "Scout" will still exist? JW 14:34, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

"Activators" are the renamed "Fast Action Battlers" if I recall. Toyline for younger kids.--RosicrucianTalk 14:55, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Not quite that, though they sort of fill the same niche. FABs are chunkier versions with simpler transformations and spring-loaded missile gimmicks. Activators are chunkier, simpler versions with one-touch, spring-loaded transformations and no other gimmicks (as far as I can tell). So far, the "Roll-Out Command" OP does appear to be unique in having that title.--Apcog 15:30, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
I think the Activators are also Basic-sized, unless the guy in the video Thy took has HUGE hands. --M Sipher 15:55, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Hasbro's site calls the activators "scout-scaled" toys. They will also release a handheld video game type thing and the OP battle-rig gun as Animated prime. Also, the new movie legends figures, combined with the universe's announced legends-class figures, make it seem inevitable it will include legends, and quite possibily robot heroes (even though the other '08 property Transformers: Crossovers has no evidence of either of the last to sublines).--Autobotx1010 21:13, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Release Date: March 25?

[edit]

So, there's a news report over on Seibertron.com saying that the first wave of Transformer Animated toys will be out next week. Anyone know if this is true? JW 19:03, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Maybe someone should correct the "To be released in June" bit, since some of the toys are officially out in the US now by the sounds of it? Anyone know what the UK release date is? Shadow Mask Prime 17:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

SkyWarp Voyager?

[edit]

Just noticed that SkyWarp seems to have been added to the Voyager list. Is that Official, or someone doing some eduacated guesses? I'm guessing that this is something that could quite easily have just been revealled at BotCon, but I just wanted to be sure.Shadow Mask Prime 17:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

As of BotCon, it is now confirmed.--RosicrucianTalk 18:17, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

eBay Animated Madness

[edit]

Just wondering. Should we include a small paragraph about the way the Animated Line toys have been appearing on eBay for several Months before their official release, en mass; and how Hasbro is now taking legal action against these sellers? I don't have a source for the latter, other than a friend buying them on eBay, and after the last couple he brought and paid for, he got an email form the seller saying he had had to cancel the remaining auctions, and he didn't have to pay if he didn't want to; due to some warning he had received (though he had already paid, and they arrived, and Grimlock is awesome.... Gaaahhh! I want a UK release date!).Shadow Mask Prime 17:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

If we can get some more info (like a copy of the C&D letters Hasbro is sending out), this would be worth mentioning, sure, either here or in the eBay article. JW 17:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
The only toys sellers recieved warnings for were the Botcon ones. It's likely that your seller assumed the warning counted for Animated as well. Decepticon Rhinox 21:37, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm not aware of Hasbro itself sending out warnings to sellers (or atleast no one's stepped forward), looks like it's just Brian Savage. Ryan from Seibertron.com had an auction for a prototype Bulkhead removed from eBay at Hasbro's request, but they didn't contact him personally. eBay just sent him a form letter saying the auction violated someone's intellectual property, and told him he couldn't sell that there. --70.190.251.10 22:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Omega Supreme

[edit]

Has Omega Supreme been announced, or is this more speculation? --FortMax 16:32, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Speculation which lost credibility. The same message that mentioned Omega Supreme also stated that blitzwing would be deluxe. Decepticon Rhinox 16:48, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
True. On the other hand 1) the Arc really does look like it could turn into Omega that list aside and 2)When asked about him, Hasbro "No Commented", if there was nothing to it wouldn't they have just said so... --ZacWilliam 18:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Just because Hasbro might be thinking about it, doesn't mean it will actually happen. We don't predict the future here. JW 19:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I agree, it doesn't belong here until it's official, I was just saying I think it has a good chance still of eventually being true.--ZacWilliam 22:59, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh, yah, granted. And happy fanboy noises will ensue from me and others. JW 03:08, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Sentinel prime's toy

[edit]

I seem to remember Sentinel prime's action figure being a voyager class toy. Does anyone know why he is now a deluxe and very out-of-scale? - St.Hound

The things you remember are lies. He's a Deluxe. - RolonBolon 02:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Well, okay then. - St.Hound

Stealth Ninja Jazz bumper battler

[edit]

I'm pretty sure I saw him at Zellers (West Edmonton Mall) yesterday. Coloured to look kind of like movie Jazz, with a Sting Racer Bumblebee cosell... Should it stay in Future Waves with the Future Release template? Betsumei 00:48, 6 April 2009 (EDT)

Arcee and Ratchet

[edit]

Are Arcee and Cybertron Mode Ratchet general release or TRU exclusives? Riddlerj 11:26, 18 March 2010 (EDT)

TRU exclusives.--Apcog 12:38, 18 March 2010 (EDT)

Tag for uncertain release toys?

[edit]

From Hasbro's Q&A the release of some of the future waves is uncertain. How should this be handled on the character pages? The text of {{Template:Comingsoontoy}} says "This item is currently scheduled for release..." which is not true. They don't appear to be on the schedule. Is {{Template:Canceledtoy}} too strong? It says "...with no current plans for release", which is technically true. - Starfield 23:33, 31 March 2010 (EDT)

"Canceled" is certainly too strong, since it requires deliberate and certain denial instead of Hasbro's increasingly pitiable "we're really trying!"-s. If anyone out there has the skills to create a new template based around Limbo, this would be an appropriate use for it. --Thylacine 2000 00:01, 1 April 2010 (EDT)

Japanese toyline section header

[edit]

Are the Japanese toys going to be put under their own section header on character pages since they are technically repaints with glossier decos? - Starfield 11:43, 19 July 2010 (EDT)

Unreleased toys

[edit]

At this point, is it safe to say the Animated toys not released by Hasbro yet are to be considered canceled?--Nevermore 17:18, 24 December 2011 (EST)

No point in denying it. —Interrobang 17:24, 24 December 2011 (EST)
