Talk:Treadshot (SG)
According to the Facebook page, SG Treadshot is based on Universe 2003 Treadshot. I think that's an official club Facebook page, yes? --Crockalley 21:42, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- The BotCon Twitter says so too. --Crockalley 21:54, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- Well, it specifically notes the Universe guy as an Evil Decepticon, so that would rule out the two being the same, sadly. —Interrobang 21:58, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- Although that carries the implication that Universe Treadshot is G1 and therefore his accompanying Ultra Magnus is the G1 character. —Interrobang 22:02, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- The idea is enticing, but I wouldn't want to make any solid assumptions about one universe based on another universe. Especially not until we see the resolution of the Side Burn/Demolishor/Jetstorm story. --Crockalley 22:13, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- I doubt Treadshot is part of that plotline. —Interrobang 22:22, 5 January 2012 (EST)

The promo blurb on the Botcon mainpage:
- Hailing from the Shattered Glass Universe, Treadshot was once a friend and rival to Ultra Magnus. But when the war broke out, the two took opposing sides, with Treadshot joining the Heroic Decepticons. His betrayal hit Ultra Magnus hard, and now the two are engaged in a never-ending duel, reaching all the way to the Classicverse!
So yeah, he's very much drawing off of the packaging bio of Universe Treadshot.--RosicrucianTalk 22:31, 5 January 2012 (EST)
What's the basis of his head design? --Sabrblade 23:47, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- It's the secondary head for the mold. FunPub didn't make it. —Interrobang 23:50, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- Secondary head mold? --Sabrblade 23:51, 5 January 2012 (EST)
- Tomahawk/Vortex, Thunderwing/Black Shadow, Wreck-Gar/Junkheap/Scrapheap, Terradive/Spacecase --ItsWalky 00:02, 6 January 2012 (EST)
- But weren't those heads designed with the intention of being someone? If so, what was this head supposed to be? --Sabrblade 00:09, 6 January 2012 (EST)
- Not all heads were designed to be someone specific. Vortex wasn't. Space Case wasn't. Lugnut's other head wasn't. And probably not Optimus Prime's other head, either, from the look of it. --ItsWalky 00:14, 6 January 2012 (EST)

Treadshot's bio card says his personal weapon is a pulse demagnetizer, like Actionmaster Treadshot carried. The rest of his backstory is, of course, drawn from Universe's Battle-in-a-Box. Does that establish AM Treadshot and Universe Treadshot as the same character and SG Treadshot's joint mirror image? Or is the choice of weapon just a "nod" to the Actionmaster, and not enough to tie the two Evil Decepticons together as the same guy? --Xaaron 11:15, 2 May 2012 (EDT)
- No. Just a nod. --M Sipher 14:09, 2 May 2012 (EDT)
