Talk:Twitcher F451
Twitcher hardly looks like Master Chief aside from the color. Sure, he's dark green in places, but his head looks nothing at all like the master chief helmet, and twitcher is a damn gorilla. If you want to use the same reasoning for basing your speculation (which has no place in this wiki), I could say he looks like the Doomguy from doom because he's green too. This speculation is just plain stupid and the article is better without it, so instead of having a revert war, we could just discuss it here. --LokitheGrammarNazi 09:47, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- There is a HALO-colored x-box 360 controller in more-or-less these colors... but it was produced for the new ODST game.
- On the one hand, the color scheme likely was Halo-inspired (360 controller recolor like a vanity scheme for the 360's most popular game) but probably not intended to be Master Chief. (We'd have gotten a yellow visor at the very least.)
- Probably safe to say the green coloring was inspired by the game Halo without committing to any particular character. -Derik 10:01, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- If it was based on the game's colors and NOT on master chief, then the much better reasoning you put up here should be in the article. Even then, if you look at High Score 100, you can see that this controller design isn't even based on the X-box 360 design so that even now that info isn't even relevant.
- Oh, yeah and guess what, THIS MASTER CHIEF SPECULATION CAME FROM A STUPID ANONYMOUS IP ADDRESS. I don't know how they could let that go through the door. --LokitheGrammarNazi 10:07, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- Of course not, he's clearly a Y-box controller. Presumably his color scheme is a reference to the bestselling Marathon: Thermopylae prequel game.
- (I mean, if we're actually quibbling.) -Derik 10:24, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- Who is "they", specifically? Because the first person to edit the anon's addition was an admin, who fixed up the formatting, and other established editors added the relevant links. Also, the controller is just a generic controller, not based on any specific console. Not really taking any sides in the debate since I've never played a Halo game, just saying, it could well be a MC/Halo homage (and really other editors seem to believe). --Detour 10:31, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- "They" are the allegedly high-ranking editors before you on this page, and for the controller, look at this. --LokitheGrammarNazi 10:33, 4 October 2010 (EDT)

Uh, Twitcher hardly looks like Master Chief aside from the color.? The color is all the note you keep removing is talking about! Why in the world do you keep going on about him looking like a gorilla or his head design or what kind of damn controller he is? Now, I have no idea whether or not he was colored as an intentional Halo homage or not, and I know nothing about Halo myself, but the deco is ALL the note was talking about. --KilMichaelMcC 10:47, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
I don't think a statement like "he's an homage to..." should be used unless a Hasbro approved official/statement confirmed he was at some point. You can make a vague "He's an xbox controller and his colours are strangely familiar" if you feel you have to, but the original statement felt like projection. User:Eire 19.09 Oct 4 2010 (GMT)
- If it's a coincidence (or at least unconfirmed), shouldn't we remove it per previous discussion at Dinobot (PCC)? --Khajidha 14:31, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- I already removed it when I started this discussion for reasons described by Eire (as nobody will fucking listen to me). Think of it as "retroactive" editing. --LokitheGrammarNazi 16:01, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
