Talk:Venom (G1)

Was there any discussion anywhere with regards to putting Venin on this page? The toy has ZERO in common with Venom beyond Venin being Venom in French. IMO, our best bet is to wait for the toy's bio/tech specs (the Micromaster-inspired guys have had their original teams' specs, for instance), and to maybe see if Joe Kyde can provide any insight on the Allspark. Riddlerj seems determined to put this guy somewhere. We had a discussion over at Talk:Bugly (G1) where I pointed out that Venom was at least as good a possibility as Bugly for Venin's identity. Venin is clearly not Venom, despite our treatment of him and whatever Kyde's original plans for his colors were. He has a different name, a different color scheme, different tech spec numbers, and turns into a different insect. Yeah, the description of Venin's stinger is really rather similar to that of Venom's. Between that, Kyde's testimony, and the name very obviously being a trademark friendly alternative to Venom, I don't think leaving him here is especially outrageous. Jalaguy (talk) 17:52, 4 October 2014 (EDT)
