Kingdom website content?

[edit]

So the pages for various characters discuss these "messages from the future" on the official site - are we taking any steps to archive these somewhere on the Wiki? (or, for that matter, anything else that's on the official site?) -hx (talk) 20:03, 4 December 2021 (EST)

Canceled ER Starscream Refresh?

[edit]

I just remembered that we were supposedly getting an ER Starscream Refresh in Wave 4 to go with Tigatron. There exists a listing for it in the Target database as shown in this TFW2005 article: https://news.tfw2005.com/2020/08/17/new-transformers-kingdom-studio-series-1986-masterpiece-listings-from-target-417185

Reputable leakers had also said in the past that ER Starscream was supposed to be in Kingdom, but his figure was canceled due to the upcoming SS86 leader figure. I'm not sure how we deal with listings but this reminds me of the cancelled wave six Titan Masters that failed to show up. - user:Paladin Denn

This is already mentioned in the notes section of the article, except for the "canceled due to the SS86 figure" part probably because that leans a little too much to the speculative side. --Fritz (talk) 12:32, 4 January 2022 (EST)
I would argue we should make note of it being an explicitly canceled toy in the toys section as well. Precedent exists on this site for situations where a line has ended and a figure that was listed did not appear at all. This happened with many Beast Machine figures we still know nothing about, and the Horrorcons who only showed up on Ebay long after they were listed. - User:Paladin Denn 3:45 PM, 4 January 2022
This isn't a canceled figure, though, just a canceled refresh of a released figure from an earlier wave. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:06, 4 January 2022 (EST)
It was still a planned release of a figure that got canceled fairly late into the production of the line. This would be no different then a reissue being cancelled, which I'm sure I can find an example of on this wiki. Paladin Denn (talk) 17:43, 4 January 2022 (EST)
Looking through the list of unreleased toys, I've found something similar. The Autobot Racers 2 Pack that was set to release at target contained unmodified versions or previous Leadfoot and Topspin toys, yet we consider it a cancelled toy even though the figures were released separately. It's still notable, especially since it creates a gap in the numbering. Leaks are fine to mention long after the fact. Saix (talk) 17:41, 4 January 2022 (EST)
