Template talk:Art

Thanks for this. I was getting annoyed at the way some people here seemed to be content with merely saying 'Art by (Penciller)' if they didn't know who the inkers and colourists were, or simply don't care. --FFN 06:18, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, I do it too. It's so much easier. You can still do that with this template... but at least it makes it clear they don't deserve credit for the whole thing.
(I'm kinda hoping people use the 'help' tag. None of our other image improvement templates get much use, hopefully this one catches on.)-Derik 06:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
I just prefer all credit is given where it is due, and if we don't know, either note that part as being unknown, and/or making it clear who did what. The poor inkers and colourists deserve more props if possible. --FFN 06:25, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Formatting

[edit]

Thanks for putting this together, Derik. I don't know how to work the code to adjust its appearance, but could we make it look like this instead? I think a list looks a lot better than a "sentence," especially when there are multiple people in each category. - Jackpot 08:51, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

About the template

[edit]

Um, just came to my mind. Is there any chance we could change this template or start a new template based on

From "{}"

 • Pecils: {}
 • Inks: {}
 • Colours: {}
 • Letters: {}

Thus we don't have to type "pencils", "inks", and other factors words by words. --TX55 08:59, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Please disregard that request

[edit]

So I just spent a bunch of time trying again and again to make the template automatically link the names that users put into it, and when I gave up and restored the page, I asked in an edit-comment if anyone knew how to do what I was attempting. But then I realized it was a terrible idea all along because there are often multiple names in one input. So never mind that, and sorry for all the edits. I would, however, love to know if there's a way to preview templates as you're editing them. I hate filling up the Recent Changes with my trial-and-errors. - Jackpot 01:56, 23 April 2009 (EDT)

spacing top and bottom

[edit]

Hi, there seems to be a lot of a space at the top and very little at the bottom. Can it be evened out more?--MistaTee 10:56, 22 January 2010 (EST)
