Untrue. People like smartasses.
What I don't like is why the header is still THAT when I changed it. What the hell? --M Sipher 01:29, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Stupid buffer.
- Cache, not buffer. See, for its demo, the Excessive Sarcasm template calls itself, but it doesn't 'dig down' to do it. When you save version 2.0, and version 2.0 calls itself, it runs the template as it currently exists-- the 1.0 version.
- I think Wikia actually does a 'note to self, go back and update all cached pages that reference this template' when you change it, but it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours for it to actually get around to it, it considers that sort of prorogation a low-priority 'overnight' task.
- ...crap, I need to add cats for this. Also, I'm creating a Messageboxes category.-Derik 01:55, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Needs the same trick that template:tobedeleted uses so that the template itself isn't marked as in need of de-snarking. I tried to fix it the way the deletion template looks, but it only comes out as garbage.--Rosicrucian 02:52, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- The method in {{tobedeleted}} is an inelegant solution that doesn't allow for examples of different settings. I added a 'noCats' parameter you can set to True for demonstration purposes. -Derik 03:11, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
