The Joint

After making contact with the Decepticons, the forces of Cobra constructed a Cobra/Decepticon joint laboratory in a hidden cavern underneath the Pyrenees in southern France, which overseer Dr. Biggles-Jones shortened to simply "The Joint". Built atop a vein of [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}lignite|{{#if:||lignite}}]], Cobra discovered a way to refine this low-grade coal into energon cubes to keep their Cybertronian allies topped up.

Cobra established The Joint underneath the Pyrenees; with the assistance of the Decepticon Seeker Avia and a number of Insecticon drones, they worked to construct a prototype drone warrior they called "Fusion". Eventually, a group of Autobots and G.I. Joe members learned of the facility's existence and successfully breached its defenses; inside, they came into conflict with the villains and their latest creation. Cobra/Con Fusion
