WAIT, I STILL FUNCTION!
[edit]- "I still function. You haven't... won. Not while my spark... still burns..." —Cybertron Galvatron's last words, "Unfinished"
- "Wait...I still...function..." —Megatron, The Transformers: Monstrosity issue #1

[edit]
Of course the Transformers: The Movie Marvel comic, the Transformers the Movie Ladybird book and the Transformers: The Animated Movie IDW comic cribbed dialogue and plot from the '86 movie, seeing as they're all adaptations of it, but several original stories stand out for leaning on it a little more heavily than most:
- "They were always real to me." - a short CGI reimagining of Optimus Prime and Megatron's iconic battle, released to promote the 2008 Universe toyline
- The Transformers - a short comic released by Madman Entertainment that bridges the gap between the original cartoon's second season and the movie
- Rodimus vs. Cyclonus - a pack-in comic from IDW Publishing set during the events of the movie
- The Transformers: Autocracy, Monstrosity and Primacy - three reference-ridden miniseries co-written by Flint Dille (one of the writers on the original cartoon, and story consultant for the movie) set in IDW Publishing's original continuity
- Another Light - the Shattered Glass version of The Transformers: The Movie, published in seven parts through the official Transformers Collectors' Club
- Echoes and Fragments - the GoBots version of the movie, released by the Club via Ask Vector Prime
- Transformers: Deviations - a one-shot from IDW Publishing that provides an alternate version of the movie where Optimus Prime does not die
- The Prime Wars Trilogy - three cartoon series produced by Machinima, the dialogue for which seems to consist mostly of half-remembered movie quotes
Consider this page a cautionary tale.
