Don't look directly into the lie light

"The Transformers: The Movie - Apocalypse: Be Eternal, Matrix" (トランスフォーマー・ザ・ムービー 黙視録 マトリクスよ永遠にー Toransufōmā Za Mūbī Mokushiroku Matorikusu yo Eien ni), popularly known as "Matrix Forever", is a 20-minute video created to promote the Japanese release of The Transformers: The Movie in 1989.

The video includes a preview trailer for the film, a collection of Transformers TV series openings, and some TV commercials for the toys. Also included with the tape was a "Special Data Book" containing a synopsis of the movie, profiles of the American cast, character profiles (including character models), details and photographs of the Unicron prototype toy and profiles of Takara's Transformers development team.

A widespread misconception among fans holds that The Transformers: The Movie itself was retitled Matrix Forever in Japan.<ref>Message from discussion "Binaltech preview"? Real or fake?</ref>

The VHS also includes the "Convoy Is Dead!" campaign short from 1986.
