With Cybertron on the brink of destruction, the war between the Transformers is inadvertently drawn to Earth! Can the Autobots keep the map of the Ancient Power out of Megatron's hands?
Synopsis
[edit]Deep in space, Cybertron is about to be devoured by the Grand Black Hole. On the planet's surface, amidst all the chaos, Optimus Prime and Megatron are duking it out. Optimus is taking it on the chin, being hit again and again by Megatron's energy attacks. Landmine, injured, is unable to help his Supreme Commander. He reaches out in an attempt to grab Optimus, only to have his arm blown up by the energy field. And then, at last, the Grand Black Hole causes Cybertron to collapse in on itself.
Down on Earth, in the middle of nowhere, Coby, Lori and Bud are having some car trouble. Lori angrily kicks the tire of the car, causing Coby to scream at her to stop "hurting" the vehicle, as he believes machines are "living creatures", too. Both Lori and Bud mock Coby's statement, leaving Coby to declare that his car might be a Transformer. Lori and Bud insist there are no such things as Transformers, while Coby clings to the news stories he's read in "kiddy sci-fi magazines" and other reputable tabloids. As Lori continues to mock Coby, a strange hole opens up in the sky and drops something onto the ground, creating a huge crater.
The three kids go to investigate and, wouldn't you believe it? It's a Transformer! (Landmine, to be precise.) As Lori freaks out, a joyous Coby leaps down into the crater and tries to communicate. He notices Landmine's busted arm and decides to "heal" it with his car parts. As Coby "operates", Lori acts as "nurse", but because she's a girl, she doesn't know what a wrench is and has to get help from Bud. Time passes and things begin to look hopeless for Landmine.
Then, another hole opens in the sky and out pops Vector Prime. Vector thanks the children for their kindness and introduces himself as Guardian of the Ancient Power who has traveled across time and space to find Landmine. Using his awesome space magic, he instantly repairs Landmine and revives him. As Landmine comes to, Vector Prime tells him that at the very last instant, he used his power to rescue him from the collapsing Cybertron and teleport him to Earth. Landmine begins to despair over Optimus' apparent demise, but is quickly distracted by the kids and their bottomless reservoir of questions.
The brief respite comes to an end when a volley of missiles rains down from the sky and set the surrounding forest ablaze. Coby feels a chill down his spine as a dark figure walks out of the flames: Megatron! Megatron tells Vector Prime to hand over the map to the Ancient Power. Almost mindlessly, Vector Prime pulls out the map and begins to hand it over. Realizing that Vector Prime is under a trance, Coby overcomes his own fear and snaps Vector out of it by shouting at him. Vector pulls away with the map just in time.
Suddenly, the forest fire is put out by a mysterious firetruck. The truck then transforms into Optimus Prime. Under Vector's orders, Landmine protects the children as Megatron and Optimus resume their conflict. Megatron hurls another energy attack at Optimus, disabling him. As Optimus begins to fall, Coby screams some encouraging words at him. This gives Optimus the burning spirit he needs to revive himself and attack Megatron head on. He then delivers a really, really good punch to Megatron's jaw. Megatron drops to one knee and wipes some "fluid" from his mouth. Megatron transforms to jet mode and flies away, declaring that the war is far from over.
Optimus surveys the destruction that surrounds him and begins to feel guilty about bringing the war to Earth. His inner monologue is quickly interrupted by Coby, Lori and Bud, who all thank him for his bravery.

Notes
[edit]
- According to Coby's bio information, he's only 14 years old. In the United States, the minimum age requirement for a learner's permit is 15, and adult supervision is mandatory. So yeah, Coby's breaking the law, but he don't care.
- Lori doesn't know what a wrench is. Lori doesn't know what a wrench is.
- In this story, Vector Prime is overcome and bewildered when a group of human children begin assaulting him with inane questions about Transformer history and minutia. Such is his lot in life.
