The Tribunal is a Quintesson Judge from the Energon Universe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family

Tremble before the mighty Tribunal, war judge of the Quintessons! Summoned to the battlefield in times of war, this three-faced judge likes to brag, a lot, but he can back it up with his squadron of Elite Sharkticons.

When the Quintessons invaded the Sacred Ring, they sent for the Tribunal, though Judge Makmun thought things were going well enough that he wouldn’t be needed. He was wrong. Void Rivals #27

The Tribunal entered the battlefield in Agorria, to the horror of Darak and Dukan. He spouted off his credentials and unveiled his Elite Sharkticons, before inviting the Agorrian platoon to surrender. They appeared to do so, but fired off a shot at the Tribunal when he wasn’t expecting it. Unfortunately, they missed, so the Tribunal wiped them all out, before searching for more soldiers to pass his judgement on. Void Rivals #28

  • Most Quintesson Judges have five faces, but the Tribunal has three: stylized versions of War and Death, and a new one called "Dominion", that appears to take design inspiration from a Roman Centurion.
  • Though Andrei Bressan drew the issue where the Tribunal first appeared on-panel, per said issue’s letters page, the character was designed by Void Rivals co-creator Lorenzo De Felici.
