Uno
Uno, stylized as UNO, is a popular card game franchise owned by Mattel. Besides having a standard set of cards and rules, many spin-offs have been released over the years featuring different forms of gameplay, as well as many licensed collaborations with other brands.
Thanks to a multi-year partnership between Hasbro and Mattel starting in 2023, a deck based on Transformers and featuring Generation One characters was released in 2024.

Traditionally, Uno decks feature 112 cards. Most of them are regular cards numbered from 1 to 9 while others are action cards with symbols and special powers. Each regular and action card has two copies in one of four possible colors, adding up to eight cards for each number and symbol. There are also wild cards that are neutral in color and are limited to only four copies each. The goal is to be the first player to play all their cards and empty their hand. A player must always call "Uno!" after playing their next-to-last card or else they must suffer a penalty. Also featured is a scoring system based on each card's numbers and symbols.
The Transformers version uses the "Uno Flip!" spin-off as its basis and thus features two-sided cards and unique rules such as the "Might of Optimus Prime Rule" and the "Tyranny of Megatron Rule".
Cards
[edit]Each card has a "light side", dedicated to the Autobots, and a "dark side", dedicated to the Decepticons. All cards on the "light side" feature white borders and come in red, blue, yellow and green versions, while cards on the "dark side" feature black borders and come in teal, orange, pink and purple versions. Contrasting their borders, wild cards have black backgrounds on the "light side" and white ones on the "dark side". {{ #if: {{#ifexpr: 2 }}

Notes
[edit]- Most if not all art used on the cards is taken directly from Dreamwave's "More than Meets the Eye" profile book, which automatically makes this set appear twenty years older than it actually is.
