The Autobots and Decepticons try to have nice holiday meal, but things get messy.
Synopsis
[edit]It's Christmas time in the Autobot house. Jetfire hangs decorations, Chromia and Omega Supreme set up the tree, and Optimus, Hound, and Sideswipe set the table for dinner.
Outside Starscream and Megatron arrive bearing food and a gift. As they're greeted by Optimus, Starscream expresses displeasure in being there resulting in a wack to the head from Megatron. Next Astrotrain and Apeface arrive. Holding the cake he brought, Apeface enthusiastically runs to enter the house, only to trip. This sends the cake into Hound's face, much to his displeasure. Finally Shockwave and Soundwave show up. After Shockwave puts his strangely vibrating gift under the tree, everyone heads to the table with the Autobots sitting on one side and the Decepticons on the other.
To Shockwave's displeasure, the only free seat left is next to Sideswipe, who's also unhappy with the seating arrangement. As Shockwave goes to take a seat, his chair is pulled out causing him to fall. This causes all the Autobots and Starscream to have a big laugh at his misfortune. The Decepticons glower unhappily, with Megatron giving Starscream another smack to the head. As Shockwave picks himself up and takes his seat, he shoots an evil eye at Sideswipe, who shrugged not knowing what happened.
Jetfire then entered carrying the turkey for the meal. As he approaches to the table he slips, stumbling about. Watching him stumble everyone lets out a sigh of relief as Jetfire manages to steady himself, placing the turkey down on the table. Looking over upset at the Decepticons, Prime notices Starscream getting up from the floor. Assuming he caused the near accident, Megatron gives Starscream another wack to the head, which leads to him confusingly proclaiming his innocence.
As everyone finally calms down and digs into the meal, it's quickly found things are a bit less edible then they look. Apeface can't take a bite from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Sideswipe finds himself unable to get anything out of his smoothy cup, and Shockwave can't seem to open a can of energy drink. As everyone deals with the odd food issues, Optimus is unexpectedly hit in the face with a blob of chocolate sauce, shocking everyone.
Optimus has had enough and throws a glob of mashed potatoes, hitting Astrotrain in the face. This is the last straw and a food fight is on! Each side grabs whatever they can off the table, hurling it at the other side. Grabbing an energy drink, Shockwave throws it at Sideswipe. It's deflected back at the Decepticon, knocking him to the floor. As the food fight rages on, a stunned Shockwave watches as Knotzel walks past with a mischievous grin on her face.

[edit]- There's a few hints that the BotBots are the ones causing issues throughout the video:
- After Apeface trips, Slobber Rock has disappeared from outside the house.
- Professor Wellread can be seen on the table after Optimus is hit with the chocolate sauce.
Errors
[edit]- The gift Starscream brings isn't seen under the tree later. Then again this is Starscream we're talking about, he may just have decided to keep it for himself.
- A few duplicate BotBots appear throughout the short:
- Two Twerple Burples can be seen on the table.
- During the food fight, some BotBots being thrown are also sitting on the table.
Trivia
[edit]- As Jetfire turns from the Autobot side of the table to the Decepticon trying to stop the food fight, his insignia can be seen swapping from Autobot to Decepticon.
- Laserbeak remains stored in Soundwave's chest compartment for most the video, only appearing briefly in robot mode during the food fight.
- While Jetfire seems to stay neutral during the food fight, he does grab a sports drink bottle thrown by Starscream at Optimus Prime, preventing it from hitting him.
