A Water Gun is a device that weaponizes pressurized jets of liquid. Although the name would imply that such a weapon would be restricted exclusively to dispensing water, the title is often used loosely by Transformers, and used as a catch-all term for any weapon that is simply capable of firing water, regardless of what other substances can actually be fired from it. Many Cybertronians who transform into firetrucks come de facto equipped with a water gun due to their choice of alternate mode.

- Ironhide (Autobot Car, 1984/1985)
- Accessories: static laser gun, gun post, 3 missiles
- The Transformers Ironhide's battle platform was armed with a raising missile launcher and front-mounted weapon, labelled as a static laser gun in his instructions, but described as firing a variety of liquids in his packaging bio. Unusually for toys of this period, this weapon could actually store in Ironhide's vehicle mode, plugging into his undercarriage. This mold was also used to make the concurrently-released Ratchet and has been reissued a number of times.
