She ruled Zamojin around the time of the Night of the Devils and thus witnessed her race's fall from evolution.
The scientist Niko Don had built a "flying tower", a rocket with which the Zamojins could travel to the stars. While Niko Don wanted to take the rocket on its maiden voyage himself, the empress forbade him to go. He obeyed, and instead built a small gynoid, Nijika, to be the first voyager. The supposed takeoff was made into a big ceremony, led by the empress herself. But when she turned to Kodu Ri, the god of the Zamojins presented as a big mechanical statue, for his blessings on Nijika's journey, she inadvertently created the situation the Quintessons had been waiting for. With the entrance to Kodu Ri opened, they attacked to destroy Nijika, the flying tower and Kodu Ri, then left the Zamojins one last blow in the form of the quadrant lock, a mechanism that sealed Zamojin off from the rest of the universe. The empress survived the attack, but was left with much for her planet to recover from. The Face of the Nijika

In the present of 2006, this empress, presumably a descendant of the other one, also witnessed a turning point in her race's history.
The empress was informed by Katsu Don and the Perceptor-possessed Nijika that the "demon" the Zamojins had captured earlier was not an enemy. The empress subsequently stopped the Zamojins from killing Blurr, revealing Perceptor/Nijika to the crowd to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the Quintessons and Cyclonus were after Perceptor for his universal emulator and chose that time to abduct him.
Once Perceptor's mind was removed from Nijika, her lifeless body was tossed out of the Quintessons's ship. The empress picked it up and gave it back to Katsu Don once the fighting had ended. She voiced her concern over what the devils would take from Zamojin with this visit, but Perceptor, who had sabotaged the ship, assured her the Quintessons would only be giving something this time. And indeed, once the ship passed through the quadrant lock, it faded to reveal the stars. As this happened, the empress and the other Zamojins swiftly had their intelligence raised back to levels high enough to repair Kodu Ri.
After this, she and Katsu Don said their goodbyes to the Autobots. The Face of the Nijika
