Zeta (AB)

This article is about the Angry Bird. For characters who go by the name Zeta Prime, see Zeta Prime (disambiguation){{#switch:{{#sub:Zeta Prime (disambiguation)|-1}} != .= ?= .

Zeta is an Autobird from the Angry Birds Transformers continuity family.
Dope female ninja bird

Zeta is the chilly leader of the icy Eagle Island, who planned to destroy Piggy Island and rebuild it as her paradise. However, when she invaded the island, she also found the EggSpark, which transformed her into Nightbird Bird and Slipstream Bird.

After seeing what the Eggbots were doing to the island, she decided to use her newfound powers to help free the island from the cruel rule of the Eggbots, so she can invade it herself after they’re defeated.

She also has a romantic relationship with Mighty Eagle.

As Nightbird

[edit]
  • Squad: Specialists
  • Mission Type: Investigator
  • Unlock Type: Special Event

Zeta/Nightbird plays somewhat similarly to Matilda/Nautica; she launches a series of large Ice Blocks in an arc at her targets, which explode with incredible smashing power, obliterating block towers with ease. However, despite their effects on the local (shoddy) construction, they don't do a whole lot to Walking Mortar Towers without augmentation.

As Slipstream

[edit]
  • Squad: Noughties
  • Mission Type: Investigator
  • Unlock Type: Special Event (10000 Tokens)

Slipstream’s weapon is similar to Nightbird's, launching ice blocks, but has quite a different deployment. It starts launching them at a random angle, but once properly upgraded, it launches four blocks at once at different angles, all converging on the target with hefty explosive force. Once the smashing happens, ice blocks then rocket sideways from the impact zone. This weapon also has an infinite clip and pretty quick rapid-fire, making up for the individual blocks' (relatively) lower destructive power.

As Sergeant Nightbird

[edit]
  • Squad: Misfits Squad
  • Mission Type: ???
  • Unlock Type: Prime Pass reward (level 40)

The Autobirds are suffering defeat after defeat at the hands of the Deceptihogs, and they're about to get even more turmoil coming their way as yet another Autobird betrays their trust. Sergeant Nightbird embraces her roots and turns back to the pork side (epic niche Angry Birds reference) once more. Her ninja skills will lead the Deceptihogs even closer to the ultimate victory, but only if she manages to defeat the muscle of the Autobirds: Security Officer Ironhide.

Notes

[edit]
And those eyes look familiar
  • Zeta's Nightbird body is based on the TakaraTomy Transformers Legends "Nightbird Shadow" toy, transforming into a hovercar version of the vehicle mode. Despite being a new body model, she uses the same upper beak model as the Grimlocks, and uses Silver's animation rigging (itself modified from the Minion Pig animations).
    • On top of that, she uses the same voice clips as Stella, instead of a more accurate voice for her. Then again, they used Chef Pig's voice clips in Angry Birds 2 (the game) to sound like her. Yeah, we're just going to ignore that.
  • The explosive ice blocks are a reference to The Angry Birds Movie 2, where Zeta launches giant balls of ice filled with lava to both Piggy Island and Bird Island in order to destroy them.
  • For some reason, the game has two different body-types for Zeta as Nightbird, as one of them looks like the cartoon model, while the other one (pictured) is using the same torso as the Minion Pig Seekers. Rovio has confirmed that this is a glitch that occurs after upgrading Nightbird to level 15, and that a fix is incoming.
  • She is the second Deceptihog to be a bird, and unlike Hal, this one makes sense, because she was a villain.
