The '''Vaults of the Unknown''' was a hidden location on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] and the forgotten resting place of the legendary [[Terminus Blade]]. The vaults were guarded by the ancient [[Transformer|Cybertronian]] known as [[Scourge (SG)|Scourge]].

While he was imprisoned on [[Paradron#Shattered Glass|Paradron]], [[Ultra Magnus (SG)|Ultra Magnus]] had his loyalists secretly help him to study Cybertron's ancient history. When he learned of the Terminus Blade, he obsessively searched for its location and came to discover that it was hidden within the Vaults of the Unknown.
