Machu Picchu is a several centuries-old Incan city located on a peak of the Andes Mountains in Peru.

[edit]Megatron and Soundwave more or less accidentally destroyed Machu Picchu while trying to obtain the oil underneath the South American jungles. They created a tunnel with their turbine mole machine to get to the oil, but it collapsed, taking down Machu Picchu's part of the Andes Mountains. In its stead formed a new salt lake, with water flowing from the Pacific Ocean. Storms of Destruction
